    AFM M20 Collection Updated
AFM (Advanced Flight Modeling) has released version 3.0.0 of their M20 Collection. With this update, the plane has officially left its early access state. The devs make clear that they will still bring updates to the aircraft, but feel confident enough to not consider it as early access anymore. The 3.0.0 update is mainly focussed on immersion, according to the developers, and comes with several changes to do so.
This update requires a complete reinstall of the product. A quick guide to do so can be found in their announcement post. The M20 Collection requires X-Plane 11.20 or later, and can be bought from the AFM Store.

I will add that we heard (from Helisimmer during a recent "3 Grumpy simmers" episode), the incoming arrival of a new type of aircraft in AFS2 : helicopters ! Well at least the 1st one : an R22 that has been tested and verified by a well known heli  pilot Claude Bouchard.

The update is available. Vulkan has made its first steps into the code thought, ALL PLANES now have switches/ sounds fordirect interactions, a lot has been made to enhance/ update all systems (20+ pages for the A320's FMD as an example), new alerts, new failures etc !
The list is too long so just head up to their site / Steam for further informations. Just know, about my above statement : the Robinson R22 didn't make it in this specific update.

In 1998 The Machmell Fisheries was surveyed by helicopter when loggers in British Columbia, Canada looked for a suitable area for a landing strip to start their logging operations. The result was the Machmell Fisheries Camp, a 900m long narrow bush strip 21 nautical miles south of Bella Coola.
The camp was open for 6 months and rarely used again. Today you can find the old strip and some of the  abandoned facilities.
Trails to both beaches surrounding the area can be found in this scenery and a lodge with a helipad.
Enjoy this challenging set up in one of the most beautiful  and places on Earth.

    'Dear Customers,
We are sorry to inform that although we did our best in keeping an efficient cooperation with our popular vendor FlightSim Store, it is no longer possible. The store staff does not seem to be active any longer - products and updates are not published, customer messages are not responded to and vendors are not payed. We asked to remove all our products from this store but this wasn't done either. As for now we kindly suggest you not to purchase any products from FlightSim Store as it seems that people responsible for it are having major problems with managing it and keeping up with their responsibilities. Please note that all (or almost all) vendors selling there are having similar problems.
From now on we will not upload any content (including updates) onto this selling platform. If you are a customer of FlightSim Store and wish to update our products, please read this post on our Support Forum: http://drzewiecki-design.net/forum/viewtopic.php… . FSPS Store and X-Plane.org store agreed to provide help to our customers who are unable to update/download our products they have purchased at FlightSim Store.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this might cause but we do not really have any options left.'

    FIRST POST!!!!
Just watched today's On Approach e. 69  and as soon as I seen the Ace Combat story, I remembered running across this new and upcoming arcade combat (sim...game...thing). The team behind this project seem to have mimicked a lot of the features shown off in the Ace Combat demo (look at the weather)... The developer link below has a FREE demo for all of us to try. Just wanted to drop this nugget into the flight sim universe. Another product for us simmers.
    Enjoy Everyone!!!

  12. Dreadmetis liked a post in a topic by BrandingIron1900 in FSX SpacePort
FSX SpacePort is an add-on for Microsoft's Flight Simulator X (FSX) that enables a high-fidelity simulation of spaceflight using the visual environment, assets and the ecosystem of Microsoft's Flight Simulator X.

FSX SpacePort does not rely on FSX's flight model - instead, it completely replaces it with its own physics engine which implements a sophisticated deterministic physics solver to precisely simulate spaceflight in real time.

This physics engine is applied only to the objects that were designed to be used as spacecraft, meaning - the default aircraft fly as normal, and the spacecraft objects behave under ballistic astrodynamic rules of motion.

Along with the physics engine comes a sophisticated, high-fidelity collision engine, completely user-definable through FSX's SimObject container expanded with spacecraft-specific functionality.

Lockheed Martin has just released Prepar3D v4.3. This update comes with a few new features and a number of fixes and enhancements to make your Prepar3D experience even better. For instance, you’ll probably be happy to know Lockheed Martin has worked on even more fixes regarding dynamic lighting, with clustering grouped dynamic lights and adding in more distance-based checks. Furthermore, there are a few more performance improvements to rendering the virtual cockpit, and a lot more features and enhancements to virtual reality. There are also some UI changes, including views for the scenery library and add-on list in the main menu.
One of the biggest updates to the content within Prepar3D v4 is the inclusion of the the C-130. Designed by Lockheed Martin, there are now six flyable models of the aircraft type you can choose from the vehicle menu. These include:
AC-130 ‘Spectre’ C-130H C-130J C-130J-30 HC-130 KC-130 As usual with Prepar3D updates, there is an option to download and install the update in three different parts: client (required), content (optional), scenery (optional) and SDK (optional). Make sure to read the installation instructions in order to install this update the quick way.

Descent 2 View developer Vasilis Sevastopoulos has uploaded one of the last batches of previews detailing the bigger picture of their first release. LGHI (Chios Island National Airport), the airport is located on the island of Chios in Greece, south of the main city Chios.

These images highlight the team's work on the building and vegetation texturing, texture detailing and resolution appears very consistent. The texture styling is akin to 29Palm's work:

The famous addon FSPassengers is finally getting some fresh news from its lonely developer. It has been a hard work for him to rewrite the whole program to 64 bit compatibility, but he is getting there eventually, an ETA is between september and Christmas.
FSPassengers have been available for FSX and 32 bit P3D since a whole lot of time, and a great companion for any passenger flight, bringing an ambiance aboard your plane with passengers sound as soon as boarding till leaving the plane (they will react to bad treatments😁), jokes from the navigating personnel, some stuff to do during long flights (you choose meal servicing/ film choices), other small things like very effective shortcuts for autopilot/ radios, a carrier mode way before any other competitor actually too, etc...
My only regret is the time it took
