  10. Glasgow Prestwick Airport is situated in Ayrshire approx 1 hour from the City of Glasgow and is mostly now used by cargo flights. low cost Airline Ryanair and as a training aerodrome for TUI, Ryanair and EasyJet. at £16.99 this scenery is well worth the purchase for both VFR and IFR flying. The Land at Prestwick airport was first used for aircraft in 1913. However, proper building developments were not until 1935 when the airfield was used for training pilots. This included a basic control tower and several hangars. This marked the beginning of Scottish Aviation Ltd who chose Prestwick airport as its home due to its good weather conditions.
