  3. Started up xplane. So much to learn but a few quick questions that fellow xplane pilots may be able to answer easily. 1. How do you use orbx for both xplane and p3d. I don’t even see the xplane scenery in their tool. Do I need to download a separate tool for the orbx xplane? 2. What planes are the best? I have the 737 zibo and the carenado b58 with rep. I also have the carenado b200 king air. Also the jar 330. Would love some good GA planes but it’s hard to tell what’s good and made for 11 versus 10 . 8. Orbx Release YBRM Broome For X-Plane Orbx has kicked off the exciting run of announcements from FSExpo with the release of YBRM Broome for X-Plane. Broome is a small regional airport located in the north of Western Australia but serves as a hub airport for the Kimberly region. It sees daily traffic from a huge variety of aircraft including B738, A320, F100, B717, E170 and DHC8 airliners, S-92 and AS332 helicopters, G550s and even the occasional Il-76. This airport was originally released for FSX/P3D a number of years ago and has been a favourite for bush pilots since then, and now it comes to X-Plane to likely serve as a favourite too. The airport is available right now from the Orbx website for AUD $32.95. 10. Hi all I’ve been working on a comprehensive list of high quality XP11 aircraft. If newcomers from P3D or other sims want to fly a particular aircraft in X-Plane 11, this list should tell you if it’s possible. If you have any suggestions or additions to the list, let me know. I’m updating it weekly for new products anyways. I’ve also included a small selection of useful plugins at the bottom of the sheet for newcomers. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1EWIjA978VOiJ2JpCgbLtasnDH_vuZThVNbeDF05lTC0 SOURCE INFO DEVELOPER POST LINK : NEWS SITE ARTICLE LINK :
  11. Avia71 Announce Aerostar 601P SOURCE INFO Avia71, a relatively small GA aircraft developer for the X-Plane platform, has announced their next aircraft as a Piper (formerly Ted Smith) Aerostar 601P via YouTube video, which is already in closed beta stages. The Aerostar is most recently well-known for being the star (alongside Tom Cruise) in the Hollywood movie American Made. Sadly, the aircraft used in this film – N164HH – was the subject of a fatal accident during filming. As a result of this, not only was the aircraft written-off, but two people sadly lost their lives. Powered by two turbocharged piston-prop engines, the Aerostar 601 holds the closed land speed record for a piston aircraft. The 601P is a pressurised variant of the 601 with an increased gross weight, of which 492 were built. Later down the line, the 601 model became the Piper PA-61 (and PA-61P for the pressurised model) when the Ted Smith Aircraft Company was consumed by the Piper Aircraft Corporation. https://fselite.net/previews/avia71-announce-aerostar-601p/

  13. This video walks through how to start the Boeing 747 from a cold & dark state. You can use this process with X-Plane for your desktop computer as well. This was recorded in an early preview for X-Plane 10 Mobile version 10.8, so there are some small bugs that didn't affect the actual start up.SOURCE
  14. I have been using FSX and FSX:SE for many happy years. The time has come for me to consider moving sim. I am still deciding between P3D and XP (now FSW has been consigned to the bin). Before I take the plunge and start spending any hard cash, I have recently started using the free trial of X-Plane 11 (v11.10). But I am facing a lot of problems including: weaving on take off roll and after landing - due to poor traction? Incorrect sensitivity of rudder? This is affecting the default 737 and was even worse in the tail dragger tutorial which was almost impossible to get airborne. I am using a Saitek X45 but have no rudder pedals. I use the rudder switches on the throttle which are normally fine in FSX:SE. How do I find all the keyboard assignments; I can only find a small list of key commands via the menu. I turned off the C172 engine by hitting F7 thinking I’d get a notch of flaps during my landing tutorial! how do I change the views? This might be helped by keyboard commands in 2 above but I don’t want to randomly hit keys now in case I do anything else to the aircraft midair! Many thanks for the help in advance TSL crew! I know these are really basic questions but it would really help me start to ‘fly the plane’ instead of ‘operate the sim interface’!! SOURCE INFO DEVELOPER POST LINK : NEWS SITE ARTICLE LINK :

  16. Felis Announces 747-200 Classic In Development Felis, the developer behind popular vintage airliners for X-Plane such as the TU-154M and AN-24RV, has announced the start of development on the next addition to the stable – the Boeing 747-200 Classic. In the post on the X-Plane.org forums, Felis says that he wanted to make a classic variant of the 747 without the modern equipment such as digital displays while retaining fully analogue gauges and the inclusion of LTN72 or LTN92 Inertial Navigation Systems (though those with a more modern understanding of navigation will have the choice of the X-Plane default FMC). He also says that he intends to produce a 1970s-esque Air Force One variant, giving the capability of air-to-air refuelling. So far the development is in very early stages, but Felis says that blueprints, FCOM and AMM documentation have all been acquired, along with plenty more documents that have been found online in order to aid the accuracy of this aircraft throughout the development phase. As far as progress goes, he did initially show off two very early external model screenshots with windows and doors in place, mentioning that cargo doors and technical holes are on the to-do list next, and has since posted several more renderings too (seen in this post). Later in the thread, Felis begins to answer questions from users of the forum. In doing so, he implies that there is an intention to model all engine variants, but this will depend on the availability of information relating to these. Furthermore, the plans of a passenger cabin (much like the developer’s TU-154M product) remain up in the air with a direction for it being undecided due to development time and end-user system requirements. Another question that many reading this may be asking too, is “what about a -300, -200SUD and/or 747SP models later on?” as user avgaskoolaid did. This writer would be overjoyed to see an SP variation, but Felis says that there are no firm plans at this point in time, however, the idea will be revisited after release and will be based on sales data. 19. Turbulent Designs Release MBS International Airport: X-Plane 11 Edition After revealing the airport was in development, the team at Turbulent Designs has today released MBS International Airport for X-Plane 11. The Michigan airport serves a variety of cities including Midland, Bay City and Saginaw. The airport boosts a 8000ft primary runway making it perfect for those interested in both commercial or general aviation flying. The airport itself is the most “feature-rich” product to date from Turbulent Design’s according to the product page. Just like the FSX/P3D version before it, the product features detailed interior modelling, accurate parking structures, HD service vehicles, realistic runway and taxiway textures and use of Turbulent Design’s Terra Flora. 20. Turbulent Designs Confirms MBS International Airport for X-Plane Turbulent Designs are known in the Prepar3D world for their high quality scenery add-ons. In fact, as a team, they made it clear that they would be focusing purely on modern simulators and taking advantage of the 64-bit capabilities they bring. With that in mind, they did start developing for X-Plane 11 with the release of their Idaho Falls, which was met with a really positive reception. Now, the team are back with confirmation they’re bringing another of their popular airports to X-Plane. Introducing MBS International Airport. MBS International Airport is a small airport only served by a handful of airlines. However, it sees plenty of traffic from private jets and general aviation. The original P3D version impressed me with the excellent internal modelling and by the looks of the previews below, it would appear they’re aiming to achieve the same thing here. 21. Here we are the first images of the new scenario for Xplane 11: Navajo Tribal Park or simply Monumnet Valley. It is a completely rebuilt and renovated remake of one of my scenery for FSX (Orbx). A spectacular area, where nature has generously creating stunning landscapes and incredible beauty. The area is between the states of Utha and ARIZONA, covers about 350 square kilometers and is the border between the degrees + + 37-111 and 36-111. Ben 21 3D models of the main peaks derived from DEM data and then reworked and completed with 4K textures (UHD). No orthophotos used but all the ground rebuilt with typical of the area polygon / texture (desert). The mesh completely reconstructed by Fabio and adapted to the positioning of 3D models. Moreover, all the streams reconstructed. All the main buildings played. The four most characteristic areas (Airport, Oljato, View Hotel, John Ford Point) played with many details. Scenario only suitable for VFR flight, helicopter, aerolite ... 1 Airport (UT25) Monument Valley and other heliports 2 (View Hotel, John Ford Point) to facilitate the flight by helicopter. It will be available during the summer. Here are some preview pictures ... (Text translated by Google) SOURCE INFO DEVELOPER POST LINK : http://scenarialpinifsx.blogspot.com NEWS SITE ARTICLE LINK :
  22. Aerosoft Daytona Beach XP Released Daytona, Florida is probably best known for the legendary race track that resides there, and the NASCAR race of the year that is held there annually. Pretty well right over the raceway fence is Daytona Beach International Airport, and when the Daytona 500 race rolls around each year this airport is packed to the brim with private planes, with the wealthy owners heading straight to the track, Aerosoft has now released their Daytona Beach International scenery for X-Plane as Daytona Beach International XP. Sadly, it’s a little late in the year to be well-timed for those wishing to fly their simulated private jets into the airport for the race, but X-Plane users can now be well prepared for next February.
