  6. Turbulent Designs Release MBS International Airport: X-Plane 11 Edition After revealing the airport was in development, the team at Turbulent Designs has today released MBS International Airport for X-Plane 11. The Michigan airport serves a variety of cities including Midland, Bay City and Saginaw. The airport boosts a 8000ft primary runway making it perfect for those interested in both commercial or general aviation flying. The airport itself is the most “feature-rich” product to date from Turbulent Design’s according to the product page. Just like the FSX/P3D version before it, the product features detailed interior modelling, accurate parking structures, HD service vehicles, realistic runway and taxiway textures and use of Turbulent Design’s Terra Flora. 7. Turbulent Designs Confirms MBS International Airport for X-Plane Turbulent Designs are known in the Prepar3D world for their high quality scenery add-ons. In fact, as a team, they made it clear that they would be focusing purely on modern simulators and taking advantage of the 64-bit capabilities they bring. With that in mind, they did start developing for X-Plane 11 with the release of their Idaho Falls, which was met with a really positive reception. Now, the team are back with confirmation they’re bringing another of their popular airports to X-Plane. Introducing MBS International Airport. MBS International Airport is a small airport only served by a handful of airlines. However, it sees plenty of traffic from private jets and general aviation. The original P3D version impressed me with the excellent internal modelling and by the looks of the previews below, it would appear they’re aiming to achieve the same thing here. 8. Turbulent Designs Releases Glacier Park International Airport Developer Turbulent Designs has released Glacier Park International Airport (KGPI) for P3D v4. Promoting a single-platform development focus (P3D), the developer promises a jump in both quality and detail, along with a bigger feature list that takes advantage of P3D v4 technology. The airport scenery is an accurate representation of the both the airport itself and surrounding scenery, and it includes 11 square kilometres of 30cm photoreal coverage. The scenery also includes an additional 830 square kilometres of 5m and 10m terrain mesh. KGPI was built in 1942 as Flathead County Airport, from which its IATA and original FAA and ICAO codes were derived. Located in Flathead County, Montana, KGPI is designated as an international airport and is serviced by Alaska Airlines, Allegiant Air, Delta Air Lines, and seasonally by United Airlines. Over 70% of the daily aircraft operations comes from general aviation traffic, and the airport sees an average of 142 operations per day. The scenery is available directly from the Turbulent Designs web store for $28.45 USD. 9. Hey all! KGPI Glacier Park International Airport is now approaching BETA, so that means it’s time for a screenshot blowout! As you’re probably aware by now, KGPI is a P3D v4 exclusive. Why? Because focusing on one platform gives us the luxury of pushing the bar further with our visuals. See for yourself! 10. Turbulent Designs has previewed some screenshots of some of their finished building models that will be included in their upcoming Glacier Park scenery in P3D v4 in order to showcase how much detail has gone into the scenery. You may be familiar with Turbulent Design’s Glacier Park scenery which was announced back in August, and the project has been relatively quiet ever since. But quiet doesn’t mean there hasn’t been any progress made, far from it. There has been a lot work going on behind the scenes and these screenshots really exemplify that. Given that KGPI is their first P3D v4 exclusive scenery, Turbulent Designs have elected to take their time to ensure that they take advantage of as many of v4 features as possible. More in-sim screenshots will be shown by Turbulent Designs soon. We are certainly looking forward to this scenery and be sure to stay tuned to FSElite for more in-sim screenshots and an announcement of the release when the time comes! 15. The focus for this update is to rework the install process to minimise unnecessary data being installed for the user. As a result, we have moved the SimObject Display Engine installer from the Turbulent Terminal install process to the Airport Scenery install process. This will enable users to install TerraFlora without having to install SODE as well. There are many more updates for both the Turbulent Terminal and Airport Sceneries, so it is recommended that ALL CUSTOMERS download the latest installers. As always, it is recommended to install the latest Turbulent Terminal first, to the directory you wish to install your airports to. Please do not install the Turbulent Terminal or any Airport Scenery to a simulator directory. Once installed, all airports will automatically be configured on all supported simulators that you have installed. It’s THAT easy. Updates for TerraFlora are currently being tested and will be released soon!
