Happy 2017 loungers! I hope you had a wonderful holiday break. It's been nice to feel the winter breeze, but I think we deserve a trip to enjoy the Mediterranean skies.
A huge thanks goes out to TSL Patron @Whachootalkinaboutwillis for this tour suggestion. Pack your bags and get ready, we're going to Spain! This is Part 1 of 3 for this beautiful country and we'll be starting in the North.
At this point in my tour posts I usually inject a bit of info on the country's geography, and climate. I have a feeling no one really reads this far and not doing the write up saves me lots of time so let me know if I'm wrong as time is VERY limited in my world.

You'll find that many of these pages are in spanish, as are the installers. Considering they are optional and most of the tour is default airport friendly, proceeding to install is at your own risk and I'm unable to assist with installations.

I'm excited to see that Cub Club fever is spreading weekly. Time to open up another window for pilots in the Eastern Hemisphere, presenting Cub Club, EAST!
We invite Patrons to gather in the #Patrons-Lounge on Discord to host the offline weekly gathering on Saturdays at 9P GMT. Same starting point, same private music server, same day, same time, but in the London, GMT Timezone. Please remember that YOU the patrons are the host of these events. There is no host, no twitch stream, no lead to wait for. See you in the skies!

Buffalo Airways is a family-run airline based in Hay River, Northwest Territories, Canada, established in 1970. It operates scheduled passenger, charter passenger, charter cargo, firefighting and fuel services. Its main base is at Yellowknife Airport (CYZF). It has two other bases at Hay River/Merlyn Carter Airport (CYHY) and Red Deer Regional Airport (CYQF). The Red Deer base is the main storage and maintenance facility. The airline is also the subject of the History Channel reality series Ice Pilots NWT.
      Sched & Valley run
Buffalo operates two regular services called the “Sched” and “Valley run”. The Sched is a daily scheduled passenger service between Yellow Knife and Hay River. It’s one of the last DC-3 passenger routes in the world and still flown by Joe himself.
Another regular service is the very challenging 1000 mile Valley Run. This is a contract for food and mail delivery along the Mackenzie Valley and it’s isolated communities. When the ice roads are closed, the only way in is by air. A typical, eight hour, valley run takes from Yellow Knife to Deline,  Norman Wells,  Fort Good Hope and finally Tulita on the way back to Yellow Knife. The piston powered aircraft use Avgas which is hard to get. Avgas is only available in Norman Wells during the winter months when the ice roads are open. The valley run is flown by the C-46 Commando or DC-4, the only aircraft in the fleet capable to transport large amount of cargo to the short gravel strips along the valley.
Buffalo is looking for new pilots, and they're looking in our direction, expect cold, expect ice, expect low visibility. It's mandatory on this tour to fly the C-47 in proper Buffalo colors, are YOU ready for the challenge!?

"Where Airports are as Optional as Pants!"
What is Cub Club? Cub Club is a group of people worldwide getting together at a set time to depart from a preselected airfield to enjoy the surrounding scenery, take offs, landings, crashes and each other. We've had between 20-30 cubs in the sky at one time and are excited for more!
Whether you are new to flight simming or have been flying since the dawn of time, you will fit in with this crew.  Any version will do with this crowd, but it must be a Piper Cub.  She’s the only plane versatile enough to go where we go and can be flown by virtually anyone.  By selecting an aircraft without tech such as autopilot, we level the playing field so that everyone is focused on the flight and member interaction. Cub Club is about finding new adventures and giving the impossible a go.
So you still wish you were at the disco? We have that covered! Everybody can add their favourite tracks in our dedicated music/video player. It’s a party in the sky and not only are you invited, you’re the DJ!
No streaming, no host, no leader, no judges, no judgements and no pants (pants are always optional). Have a good time and get to know everyone while flying around crazy alpine glaciers, diving through narrow canyons and skimming across jungle lined rivers.
Flight plans are posted Saturday afternoon on the Patron Cub Club thread on TheSkyLounge.tv. It is advised to pick up scenery packages relating to our path (usually freeware), but not at all necessary. Many members will post links to their favorite scenery add-ons.
What do you need to join in on all of this fun? Well, first and foremost you must be a Patron of The Sky Lounge. A flight sim will also certainly be a necessity, either FSX, FSX-Steam Edition, P3D (any version) or Xplane. You need to be connected through FSCloud, and in TheSkyLounge.tv discord so we can talk and laugh together (voice required).
