  4. Backcountry flying has been all the rage in aviation the last few years and the STOL demonstration at AirVenture has been one of the most popular events to visit during the week. Hear about these amazing flying experiences from Steve Henry, Frank Knapp, Trent Palmer, Mark Patey, Mike Patey, CC Pocock, Kevin Quinn, and Cory Robin on Tuesday, July 23, from 11:30 AM - 12:45 PM at Theater in the Woods.SOURCE
  5. Thrilling performance in the SAAB JAS-39C Gripen by the Czech Air Force demonstrating how graceful and maneuverable this jet is at high speed. The plane is in a special Tiger livery to mark 100 years of the Vzdušné síly Armády České republiky (Air Component of the Army of the Czech Republic) and operated by 211. Taktická Letka (Tiger Squadron).SOURCE
  6. Stormy wind gusts up to 45 knots caused spectacular crosswind landings at Amsterdam Schiphol last saturday. This video shows the incredible skills of the pilots and why they deserve the high salary they reveice. Check out the extremly rare Airbus A340 of Surinam Airways which came in a little low which caused the pilots to bring the engines to maximum power for a few seconds. (You can see some smoke) I don` t know why the bird control vehical parked on the grass near the runway but the position was quite perfect for me. It looked even more spectacula with the tiny car standing right in front of the heavy planes which faced the bird control vehicle right before touchdown. Most pilots alligned with the runway after touchdown. Thanks for watching, new videos every tuesday and friday.SOURCE

I have had my PPL for over 15 years, but still consider each flight a learning experience - I generally take detailed notes after each flight to remind myself what went well or what I could do to improve.... Having the GoPro cameras to record flights like this is invaluable. I find these self analysis videos very helpful in my constant quest to improve, and am happy to share. In a special series we are reporting about pilot’s training, life and career opportunities in the Lufthansa Group, one of the world’s leading aviation groups. Let us encourage you to consider becoming a future pilot for one of the Lufthansa Group airlines, starting with a thorough training by European Flight Academy (EFA). Did you know that... - Lufthansa Group needs over 500 new pilot students every year for their airlines? - Lufthansa Group gives you access to affordable financing solutions? - pilot’s limitations regarding debility of eye-sight allow a lot more flexibility than you maybe think? - not speaking German does not stop you from joining the Group? - female cadets are particularly encouraged to join? Enjoy our series of clips and films about being trained by and working as a pilot for the Lufthansa Group. Check out their link for more details on how to join: https://www.european-flight-academy.com/en/ Deutsche Lufthansa AG, commonly known as Lufthansa, is the largest German airline and, when combined with its subsidiaries, also the largest airline in Europe both in terms of fleet size and passengers carried during 2017. The name of the company is derived from the German word, Luft 'air' and Hansa, the Hanseatic League. Lufthansa is one of the five founding members of Star Alliance, the world's largest airline alliance, formed in 1997. Besides its own services, and owning subsidiary passenger airlines Austrian Airlines, Swiss International Air Lines, Brussels Airlines, and Eurowings including Germanwings (referred to in English by Lufthansa as its Passenger Airline Group), Deutsche Lufthansa AG owns several aviation-related companies, such as Lufthansa Technik, as part of the Lufthansa Group. In total, the group has over 600 aircraft, making it one of the largest airline fleets in the world. Lufthansa's registered office and corporate headquarters are in Cologne. The main operations base, called Lufthansa Aviation Center, is at Lufthansa's primary hub at Frankfurt Airport, and its secondary hub is at Munich Airport. The Airbus A320 family consists of short- to medium-range, narrow-body, commercial passenger twin-engine jet airliners manufactured by Airbus. The family includes the A318, A319, A320 and A321, as well as the ACJ business jet. The A320s are also named A320ceo (current engine option) after the introduction of the A320neo (new engine option). Final assembly of the family takes place in Toulouse, France, and Hamburg, Germany. A plant in Tianjin, China, has also been producing aircraft for Chinese airlines since 2009, while a final assembly facility in Mobile, Alabama, United States, delivered its first A321 in April 2016. The aircraft family can accommodate up to 236 passengers and has a range of 3,100 to 12,000 km (1,700 to 6,500 nmi), depending on model. The first member of the A320 family—the A320—was launched in March 1984, first flew on 22 February 1987, and was first delivered in March 1988 to launch customer Air France. The family was extended to include the A321 (first delivered 1994), the A319 (1996), and the A318 (2003). The A320 family pioneered the use of digital fly-by-wire flight control systems, as well as side-stick controls, in commercial aircraft. There has been a continuous improvement process since introduction. As of 31 March 2018, a total of 8,074 Airbus A320-family aircraft have been delivered, of which 7,722 are in service. In addition, another 6,083 airliners are on firm order. It ranked as the world's fastest-selling jet airliner family according to records from 2005 to 2007, and as the best-selling single-generation aircraft programme. The A320 family has proved popular with airlines including low-cost carriers such as EasyJet, which purchased A319s and A320s to replace its 737 fleet. As of December 2017, American Airlines was the largest operator of the Airbus A320 family aircraft, operating 392 aircraft. The aircraft family competes directly with the 737 and has competed with the 717, 757, and the MD-80/MD-90.SOURCE

  19. The Paris Air Show 2019 will start tomorrow and as always I would like to bring you in the Air show mood with a warm up video with the footage of my previous air show visits at Farnborough and Paris. The first part of the video was filmed at Farnborough and the second part at Paris. It` s a perfect opportunity for you to check what to expect during the Paris Air Show 2019 flying display. A great surprise is this years Airbus A380 participation. After being absent during the Paris Air Show 2017 and the Farnborough Air Show 2018 the Airbus A380 finally celebrates its comeback in the flying display of the Paris Air Show 2019 but it will only be shown in the flying display of the public air show days. This year you can also observe the Beriev BE-200 water plane from russia, a Boeing 787-9 of Air Tahiti Nui, the A330 neo and the Airbus A350-1000 in the flying display. Sadly I am almost 100% sure that I won t show up at the Air show due to the weather. Sun and hot temperatures doesn` t work out for videography. Thanks for watching, new videos every tuesday and friday ( I will return to my schedule soon )SOURCE

I interviewed these 6 pilots I knew, at Air France Headquarters, but also in Toulouse. I followed a few of them on flights to Miami in A380 and to Taipei in Boeing 777. It was also a pleasure to collaborate with Olivier Depardon for the music. He made something very unique for this movie. Be aware that no visual effects or computer graphics were used.
