From their website, ASXP will have plenty of features to enhance your experience in X-Plane 11: Active Air Effects: Replaces internal X-Plane turbulence and air effects, providing enhanced turbulence, drafts, thermals, terrain-based wind effects, surface friction, gusts, variability, wake turbulence, microbursts and more High-Performance Weather Depiction: Uses internal X-Plane 11.2x/11.3x cloud depiction for maximum performance and smoothness, with multiple weather depiction modes including theme cell “real weather” mode and global static mode – VR compatible and optimized! Active Sky Weather Engine: An evolved version of the Active Sky platform brings the core features that made Active Sky the leading weather engine for other platforms: Advanced weather synthesis and interpolation, high-resolution global winds aloft, realistic air and atmosphere effects, a comprehensive weather data network, integrated visual mapping and planning, and much, much more Voice Weather Delivery: Active Sky ATIS and Flightwatch are available at any time by listening on 122.00, 122.02 or 122.03 for closest station, actual/current interpolated conditions and destination weather reports, respectively Surface Crosswind Attenuation: Optional, for better ground handling in crosswind conditions while preserving headwind/tailwind component for performance accuracy Mobile Companion App: Use any device/browser to connect with Active Sky over your network and view and control the weather It should be noted that cloud replacement textures will not be available just yet: We have put our previous X-Plane visual cloud replacement efforts on hold (until next year) due to performance considerations and changing API environment/tools that are not yet finalized We expect our visual cloud replacement technology to debut in Q4 2019, subject to change based on many factors ASXP features high-performance cloud depiction with a focus on conditions accuracy, utilizing the X-Plane internal cloud rendering via a hybrid API approach, with two different modes available ASXP also features an optional high-performance photo-realistic cloud texture replacement with a simple texture installation wizard Additionally, only Windows 64-bit from Windows 7 upwards is supported: Mac, Linux and 32-bit X-Plane/Windows versions are not supported In a networked environment, the ASXP application/client may run on Windows 32-bit (7 or later), but X-Plane must be 64-bit on Windows 64-bit (7 or later) We hope to bring additional OS/platform support in the future X-Plane version 11.26 or later (64-bit for Windows) is required And also provided, the list of requirements: X-Plane v11.26 or later, 64-bit Windows Version (Mac and 32-bit Windows versions are not compatible) Windows 7 or later, 64-bit Version Active internet connection (broadband recommended) 500mb available hard drive space 1GHZ+ CPU 2GB+ RAM nVidia GTX 500 series or later Graphics Adapter (or equivalent) SOURCE INFO DEVELOPER POST LINK : NEWS SITE ARTICLE LINK : https://www.thresholdx.net/news/hfasxp

A few months ago, we shared details that Lockheed Martin’s next version of Prepar3D would include Physical Based Rendering (PBR). We are pleased to confirm from our exclusive interview* with Adam Breed that Prepar3D Version 4.4 will be released with PBR along with a range of new features and fixes. For those wondering, PBR is a technique which will allow the lighting engine within the simulator to react appropriately to the lighting. For example, metal surfaces will reflect light brighter with a shiny look and feel, whereas fabric-like materials won’t. It will also allow developers to create more visually striking textures and allow for faster production of photo-real production. What’s important to know is that from our interview with Adam, he made it clear that third-party developers (aircraft and scenery developers) have already been working on creating PBR textures for their products SOURCE INFO DEVELOPER POST LINK : NEWS SITE ARTICLE LINK : https://fselite.net/news/fselite-exclusive-p3d-v4-4-releasing-november-28th-pbr-confirmed/

Hot on the heels of the release going live for developers to use we now also release the effect in one of the updates for the Accu-sim C172 Trainer and Accu-sim C182 simulations, along with a few other little bits in the update. Accu-Sim C172 Trainer Version 18.11.24.0 Changes Added windshield rain effect. Added an option to select which audio device Accu-Sim sounds are played through ('Add-ons' menu → 'Accusim sound menu'). Improved smoothing of cowl and glareshield. Revised yoke manual electric trim rocker switch logic so it doesn't work without electrical power. Reduced AFK "emergency" low power trigger from 10 hp to 1 hp. Revised AFK feature so that if the predicted time to ground contact is < 5 minutes, the sim will pause. Fixed occasional autopilot runaway trim if simulator is paused. Fixed bug causing 2-D map window to become wrongly-shaped. As we move closer to release and continue beta testing, I thought I would show you just a small sample of some of the hundreds of custom 3D POI models going into this TE region: There's simply not enough space to fit even a decent percentage of what you will find in the region, but I am sure many of you can recognise some of the ones shown here. Hello everyone, The latest airport in our British series is EGHR Goodwood. This airport is near and dear to our JV's heart - not only is it his local airfield, but it's also the site of the Spitfire sim which uses TrueEarth GB! EGHR Chichester/Goodwood Airport is located in Chichester, West Sussex and is the first airport Orbx released for England. The developers have tried to capture both the history and the natural beauty of the aerodrome and the surrounding area. Almost every single object seen at the real airport has been photographed, modelled and placed, allowing you to immerse yourself in a realistic flight simulation environment. The airport is located on Goodwood Estate which was the home to the Dukes of Richmond for over 300 years and was donated by Freddie March, the 9th Duke, to help in the Second World War effort and was used by the RAF. The airport's surrounding road was converted into a racing circuit after the war and creates the unusual cocktail of racing and aviation, which has been perfectly captured. Fun fact: The Boultbee Spitfire Academy is located in the large green hangar - see if you can find it! Key Features: 15/60 cm ground imagery Static aircraft and cars Animated Ferraris racing! Varied vegetation Includes Goodwood House Includes Goodwood racecourse Animated clocks Photographed on site Matched to TrueEarth GB Please note that for the best experience, we recommend using EGHR in conjunction with TrueEarth Great Britain South. The scenery will work without it, however some users may experience the following: Missing or misplaced forests Missing or misplaced buildings surrounding the airport Photoreal blending EGHR Goodwood Airport will be available to purchase from OrbxDirect soon for AUD $32.95 (approx. USD $24.35 / €21 / £18.50) - Previous buyers of the FSX/P3D version will get an automatic 40% discount. SOURCE
