    Colsimmers Release Santa Marta (Freeware)

Colsimmers, a new developer is making a name for themselves by developing an incredible scenery for free! Santa Marta (SKSM) or Simón Bolívar Airport is now available for Prepar3d versions 3 and 4. The airport is located 18 kilometres (11 miles) from Ciénaga and serves only domestic flights in Columbia.

Colsimmers has done a good job of recreating Santa Marta (SKSM) airport within P3D. As stated above, this scenery is 100% free. It features fully updated terminal buildings, dynamic lighting for P3Dv4, and SODE jetways courtesy of FSDreamTeam’s Ground Services X Level 2. With the airport’s position, having a mountain range so close to the runway, you can expect a very interesting approach into the airport.
Colsimmers’ Santa Marta (SKSM) is available for free on FSElite’s very own DCTRY website. Colsimmers has a Facebook page where you can view future project of theirs and give suggestions for airports for them to develop.

The  Norwegian archipelago in the Arctic Ocean was carefully crafted by Matthias Seewald aka Maps2XPlane. It´s his debut payware for X-Plane and one of his most accurate and beautiful custom mesh creations. In cooperation with Stairport Sceneries, responsible for the airports and helipads, he created a stunning scenery of 61.000 Square Kilometers terrain, covered by 2 different texture sets for winter and summer season. Dedicated to this piece of art , one of the most difficult repaints was created under the direction of Walter Schoenbaechler aka Walsch which is available here. As well as this stunning video by Walsh.

    From flightsim.news:
With FlyAgi Vegetation Global Trees, the German developer Anna Schwalm has released new textures for X-Plane 11’s trees. It has been released as freeware and is a complete overhaul to the default trees of the simulator. Furthermore, the add-on offers a higher resolution for all standard trees worldwide. This should make the trees and forests look more harmonious, according to the developer.

Ok Noodle, I do remember, when we were flying together in a Durka's stream at that time, I asked you about an airport we were flying to, an orbx one. And when I asked in the chat if I could just buy this airport, I had a MASSIVE response from the chat, you included, that you needed Global first... . Don't worry, I still trust your judgement most of the time
It may have been a consumer error, but it really seems that OrbX wanted that error to be made... That's first thing
2nd I think the actual GOOD thing to do when you made a mistake, is to say sorry, or AT LEAST not to ignore your mistake as John seem to do in his own comments. Anyone can do mistakes, and it is well known that the ones capable to accept theirs are the mature ones, the others are just stuck in childhood for what I know. Of course, that's if supposed innocent...
In 3, I think that Froogle is digging the wrong holes, not new, I unfollowed his channel some time ago I must say... But the problem is not with him ; well, not this time, but as we say in french, you see the straw in other's eyes, but not the log in yours...

You PMDG B747-8 owners must be feeling quite foolish now that the Abacus estimation of the airplane has been released. All the FSX simmers can rejoice - all 3 of you that are still clutching to it.
Now, you can experience the absolutely stunning exterior and interior of a Boeing 747-8, faithfully represented by Abacus using real-world photographs edited through the master tool 'MS Paint' in Windows OS. Some might think that having a shell of an aircraft would be more than enough to satisfy their quest for the ultimate Queen of the Skies but wait! You get more. A lot more. Abacus has not only given you a shiny new exterior, no sir, they've also given you a crisp, new, state of the art, 100% accurate to the real world counterpart flight deck! Obviously.. tested by real world 747 pilots, as all airplane add-ons for our sims are.
Here are a few features that you are awarded for your 'cup of coffee a day' monies:
    "- External cockpit section
    - Window frame, pilot seats
    - Gauges: Radar Height, Seatbelt, No Smoke
    - Flaps
    - Gauge of miscellaneous flightparameter
    - Sound"
    and much much more!
Why spend triple digits of your savings on a PMDG when you can get this for not EUR 100, 75, 50. No! You get all of the above plus a whole lot more for JUST EUR 16.79!
So what are you waiting for? Go visit Simmarket right now and bring this beauty to a hangar near you!
PMDG, you better watch out because Abacus is out to steal your customers and take the entire community by storm!
By the way, if THIS is Boeing, I definitely ain't going!

P.S.: This is meant to be a parody of what our community can produce. It showcases the spectrum of add-on development and is only meant to induce a bit of laughter. I guess most of you saw that Carenado is releasing a Diamond DA62 with their G1000 simulation inside. And I don't want to throw the 1st rock at Carenado, BUT it has been said by certain people that their work can be a bit sloppy, their interactions are sometimes a lot of strass and shiny, but not always a nice feeling that you're there to stay if you see what I mean...

Well, this time again (it seems to happen more often !), they will have to face some potentially very good competition : Sean Molloney (RealAir v4 updates and a lot more) and Vertx Flight Simulation are getting their interpretation of the DA62 to P3D's market !

    A2A Looking to Bring Accu-Sim to X-Plane

Although posted a week ago, this was missed by us and was brought to our attention by kind reader. Prepar3D / FSX users have had many years of flying GA and other aircraft using the A2A Accu-Sim engine. The custom built engine works with the SimConnect API to deliver results far beyond what the default sim can offer.
A question often asked to the team is “when will you bring Accu-Sim to X-Plane?” Well, Scott from the A2A team answered the question by saying “we do want to get Accu-Sim to any platform that accepts it.” Promising!
Scott went onto say that during FlightSimExpo, he spoke to Austin from Laminar Research about bringing in the Accu-Sim engine into X-Plane, to which Austin said “it is possible.” Scott continued by stating that a lot of the work has to go into how X-Plane and the engine will accept the code. Right now, it was designed and works well with the P3D/FSX environment, but Accu-Sim is being developed to be more modular and independent.
You can read Scott’s full statement via the A2A forums. We’ll continue to monitor how this goes, and maybe we’ll see some more positive news in the future.
Speaking of A2A, we’ll have a video review of their Accu-sim Bonanza V-Tail pretty soon.

X-Plane is full of interesting projects and great ideas from the community. I think it is time to pay some respect to freeware projects that i know, are remarkable.

One of these projects is truly outstanding and has been around for a long time. We are talking about Antarctica4XPlane. Anyone who has ever tried to fly to Antarctica in X-Plane will have noticed that there is nothing down there. That's right: Austin Meyer has done what the climatologists had long predicted - he recently let the South Pole melt.
But a group of expedition enthusiasts and adventurers have done their best to bring the continent back from the depths of the ocean and started to build all the important research stations on it and finding the right airplanes to repaint them for science missions . The Project is leaded and initiated by Matthias Seewald alias Maps2XPlane, a specialist in geodata and Master of the XP Mesh. (You might know him from Krabi4XPlane where he helped to generate a better mesh)  Since the beginning he connected many volunteers to work on this project.
Those who have not experienced it yet, I recommend to try a trip into the eternal ice. To destinations most of us will never be able to get to in real life

    REX Release Statement on SimAir

RealEnvironmentX or REX have released a short statement on the development of SimAir.
SimAir has been in development for quite some time now and since the REX developers had stopped putting out updates, status reports etc, people assumed that the project was dead, but a recent post on the REX forums clearly states “it is still very much alive“. A REX Developer also said that the project is simply on hold due to other focuses of other REX products. I personally have never heard of SimAir until now. Which goes to show that development has not been progressed well.
A little bit of background info on what SimAir is, since there has been very little info released lately. SimAir is similar to what FSPassengers is, but is much more complex then just creating an airline and flying. The way REX is describing this, makes it sound like a multiplayer online game where you compete against other pilots. You can create your own airline, whether that be a major world-wide airline, a small regional airline, or cargo operations. You can also hire, or be hired by other users to fly for their airline. Much like a virtual airline.
If you would like to checkout a full and detailed list of what SimAir is and how it can impact your simulation experience, the REX website will give you all the information you need. REX stated that there will be another update regarding SimAir on Monday, November 26th, 2018. If you want to be there for when this update is released, it will be available on the REX forums.
