The Airbus Beluga might be the weirdest plane in the world. There are just six Belugas worldwide and all of them operate for the Airbus company and transport parts of new planes between the airbus factories in France, the UK, spain and germany. Soon they will be replaced by the new Airbus A330 Beluga XL. After that Airbus has plans to sell the A300 Belugas to special cargo operators like Volga Dnepr. We might see these special Airbus planes everywhere in the world in the near future.

All of these clips were filmed during my 7 hour visit at Hamburg Finkenwerder and I found a great position behind the runway. The Airbus Beluga looks even more stunning when you are able to film it in a head - on perspective.

The Boeing 777 (Triple Seven) is a long-range wide-body twin-engine jet airliner developed and manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. It is the world's largest twinjet and has a typical seating capacity of 314 to 396 passengers, with a range of 5,240 to 8,555 nautical miles (9,704 to 15,844 km). Commonly referred to as the "Triple Seven", its distinguishing features include the large–diameter turbofan engines, long raked wings, six wheels on each main landing gear, fully circular fuselage cross-section, and a blade-shaped tail cone. Developed in consultation with eight major airlines, the 777 was designed to replace older wide-body airliners and bridge the capacity difference between Boeing's 767 and 747. As Boeing's first fly-by-wire airliner, it has computer-mediated controls. It was also the first commercial aircraft to be designed entirely with computer-aided design.
The 777 is produced in two fuselage lengths as of 2018. The original 777-200 variant entered commercial service in 1995, followed by the extended-range 777-200ER in 1997. The stretched 777-300, which is 33.25 ft (10.1 m) longer, followed in 1998. The initial 777-200, extended-range -200ER, and -300 versions are equipped with General Electric GE90, Pratt & Whitney PW4000, or Rolls-Royce Trent 800 engines. They have since been collectively referred to as 777 Classics. The extended-range 777-300ER and ultra long-range 777-200LR variants entered service in 2004 and 2006 respectively, while the 777F, a freighter version, debuted in February 2009; these second-generation variants all feature high-output GE90 engines and extended raked wingtips. The 777-200LR is one of the world's longest-range airliners, able to fly more than halfway around the globe and holds the record for the longest distance flown non-stop by a commercial aircraft. In November 2013, Boeing announced the development of the third-generation of the 777, the 777X, consisting of the 777-8 and 777-9 variants. The 777X features composite folding wings and GE9X engines plus further technologies developed for the Boeing 787, and is scheduled to enter service by 2020.

Air New Zealand Limited is the flag carrier airline of New Zealand. Based in Auckland, the airline operates scheduled passenger flights to 20 domestic and 31 international destinations in 19 countries around the Pacific Rim and the United Kingdom.[6] The airline has been a member of the Star Alliance since 1999.
Air New Zealand originated in 1940 as Tasman Empire Airways Limited (TEAL), a company operating trans-Tasman flights between New Zealand and Australia. TEAL became wholly owned by the New Zealand government in 1965, whereupon it was renamed Air New Zealand. The airline served international routes until 1978, when the government merged it and the domestic New Zealand National Airways Corporation (NAC) into a single airline under the Air New Zealand name. Air New Zealand was privatised in 1989, but returned to majority government ownership in 2001 after near bankruptcy due to a failed tie up with Australian carrier Ansett Australia. In the 2017 financial year to June, Air New Zealand carried 15.95 million passengers.
Air New Zealand's route network focuses on Australasia and the South Pacific, with long-haul services to eastern Asia, the Americas and the United Kingdom. It was the last airline to circumnavigate the world with flights to Heathrow via both Los Angeles and via Hong Kong. The latter ended in March 2013 when Air New Zealand stopped Hong Kong – London flights, in favour of a codeshare agreement with Cathay Pacific. The airline's main hub is Auckland Airport, located near Mangere in the southern part of the Auckland urban area. Air New Zealand is headquartered in a building called "The Hub", located 20 km (12 mi) from Auckland Airport, in Auckland's Wynyard Quarter.
Air New Zealand currently operates a fleet of Airbus A320, Airbus A320neo family, Boeing 777 and Boeing 787 aircraft. Air New Zealand's regional subsidiaries, Air Nelson and Mount Cook Airline, operate additional domestic services using turboprop aircraft. Air New Zealand was awarded Airline of the Year in 2010 and 2012 by the Air Transport World Global Airline Awards. In 2014, Air New Zealand was ranked the safest airline in the world by JACDEC.SOURCE

This Boeing 737 lost some fuel during its departure at Düsseldorf this week. Every airplane has fuel overflow vents but I have only filmed three planes losing fuel through the overflow vents within the past 15 years. It` s kinda rare to see this happen. These vents are quite important to make sure the pressure inside the fuel tanks doesn` t get too high. Especialy when the wings bend during takeoff it might happen that the fuel doesn` t have enaugh space anymore inside the wings. Too avoid high pressure inside the wings the fuel has a possibitly to leave the wings via the fuel overflow vents which is clearly visible in this video.

I don` t know the destination of this Boeing 737 and I can` t tell you why the fuel tanks were filled near its limit. As far as I know the longest Boeing 737 flight of Tuijet from Düsseldorf is Sal (Cabo Verde)

Is this the best looking Airbus A380 which is currently flying? This is the first Airbus 380 for All Nippon Airways from Japan and I filmed it at Hamburg Finkenwerder. The Airbus departed for a test flight during perfect light conditions and returned to the airbus factory four hours later. Of course I waited for the arrival aswell. There won` t be many chances to see this Airbus in europe again. All Nippon only ordered three A380` s and will use the planes only on the route Tokyo - Honolulu.

That` s why they decided to paint the Airbus A380 in such a special way. Five of the world's seven species of sea turtles make their home in Hawaii's waters. Still kinda surreal to see a hugh turtle on an Airbus A380, but I love it.

Airbus A310s are getting more and more rare these days and even in the German Air Force their days are counted as they will soon be replaced by a multinational European fleet of Airbus A330s. Thus a good point in time for the AirClips team to join a Luftwaffe flight from Cologne Bonn to Tiflis and back with their 20+ cameras for creating a thorough documentation of both this wonderful aircraft type and the super professional airline-like flight operations of Deutsche Luftwaffe.

This is an exclusive scene from the full A310 ULTIMATE COCKPIT MOVIE of that rotation (two flights in one film) which will also be published on this channel - totally free of charge as always - on Friday December 21st 2018 10am CET!

Also do not miss to watch the takeoff and landing shown in this movie as exclusive 360-degree videos, ideally using your VR goggles:

AirClips.com supports the pilot’s profession and all those interested in dedicating their lives to the beauty of flying.

In a special series we are reporting about pilot’s training, life and career opportunities in the Lufthansa Group, one of the world’s leading aviation groups.

Let us encourage you to consider becoming a future pilot for one of the Lufthansa Group airlines, starting with a thorough training by European Flight Academy (EFA).

    Did you know that...

    - Lufthansa Group needs over 500 new pilot students every year for their airlines?
    - Lufthansa Group gives you access to affordable financing solutions?
    - pilot’s limitations regarding debility of eye-sight allow a lot more flexibility than you maybe think?
    - not speaking German does not stop you from joining the Group?
    - female cadets are particularly encouraged to join?

Check out their link for more details on how to join: https://www.european-flight-academy.com/en/

The Airbus A310 is a medium- to long-range twin-engined wide-body jet airliner that was developed and manufactured by Airbus, then a consortium of European aerospace manufacturers. It was the second airliner to be produced by the company, the first being the A300. The A310 is a smaller derivative of the A300, which held the distinction of being the first twin-engined widebody airliner.

The German Air Force (German: Luftwaffe) is the aerial warfare branch of the Bundeswehr, the armed forces of Germany. With a strength of 27,704 personnel (30 June 2018), it is the fourth largest air force within the European Union, after the air forces of the United Kingdom, France and Italy. Although its budget has been significantly reduced since the end of the Cold War in 1989–1990, the Luftwaffe is still among the best-equipped air forces in the world.
The German Air Force (as part of the Bundeswehr) was founded in 1956 during the era of the Cold War as the aerial warfare branch of the armed forces of then West Germany. After the reunification of West and East Germany in 1990, it integrated parts of the air force of the former German Democratic Republic, which itself had been founded in 1956 as part of the National People's Army. There is no organizational continuity between the current German Air Force and the former Luftwaffe of the Wehrmacht combined forces founded in 1935, which was completely disbanded in 1945/46 after World War II. The term Luftwaffe that is used for both the historic and the current German air force is the German-language generic designation of any air force.SOURCE

I am a "weekend warrior" private pilot, I fly for fun with no intentions of going commercial. I have had my PPL for over 15 years, but still consider each flight a learning experience - I generally take detailed notes after each flight to remind myself what went well or what I could do to improve.... Having the GoPro cameras to record flights like this is invaluable. I find these self analysis videos very helpful in my constant quest to improve, and am happy to share. Feedback is invited; however, please keep it positive.SOURCE

An AirClips.com team was granted exclusive access to witness a horse cargo flight in three episodes.

This is an exclusive short clip taken from the first flight from Valencia to Deauville, Bretagne, France.

The three full cockpit films will be published for free at AirClips.com:

Episode 1 starting with a look inside the airline HQ in Kiev, a trip in the owner's private Bell 407 helicopter, a look into the maintenance facilities and an An-12 ferry flight from Spain to Deauville.

Episodes 2 and 3 show the racing horse transportation from Deauville, France to Lapperanta, Finland.

The Antonov An-12 (NATO reporting name: Cub) is a four-engined turboprop transport aircraft designed in the Soviet Union. It is the military version of the Antonov An-10 and was made in many variants.
The first prototype flew in December 1957. Over 900 had been built, in both military and civilian versions, before production finally ended in 1973. The An-12BP entered Soviet military service in 1959. In terms of configuration, size and capability, the aircraft is similar to the United States-built Lockheed C-130 Hercules. Military Soviet and former-Soviet examples have a defensive tail gun turret.
In the 1960s China purchased several An-12 aircraft from the Soviet Union, along with a license to assemble the aircraft locally. However, due to the Sino-Soviet split, the Soviet Union withdrew its technical assistance. It was not until 1974 that the first Chinese-assembled An-12 had its maiden flight. The Xi'an Aircraft Company and Xi'an Aircraft Design Institute worked to reverse-engineer the An-12 for local production.
In 1981, the Chinese copy version of the An-12, designated Y-8, entered production. Since then the Y-8 has become one of China's most popular military and civilian transport/cargo aircraft, with many variants produced and exported. A Tu-16/H-6 bomber navigator cockpit design was chosen for Y-8 instead of the original An-12 shorter navigator cockpit design, as the H-6 bomber had been in serial production for some time. Although the An-12 is no longer made in Russia or Ukraine, the Y-8 continues to be upgraded and produced in China. The latest Y8-F600 is a joint venture between Shaanxi Aircraft Company, Antonov Aeronautical Scientific-Technical Complex (ASTC), and Pratt & Whitney Canada. The Y8-F600 has a redesigned fuselage, western avionics, PW150B turboprop engines with an R-408 propeller system, and a two-crew glass cockpit. It is unknown whether the Shaanxi Y-8 remains in production, yet many believe it will remain in production for the foreseeable future.
The here seen An-12BK has an increased 30-tonne (66,140 lb) payload, improved avionics suite, TG-16M APU and the widened cargo door of the An-12BP characterized the An-12BK, which was built exclusively for the VTA (Komandovaniye voyenno-transportnoy aviatsii), a major component of the Soviet Air Force.

I tried to film this special painted Boeing 747-8 of Cargolux for a long time and last tuesday I finally managed to film it departing from Maastricht back home to Luxemburg. Sadly I wasn` t able to use a tripod and I was forced to film it handheld while standing on a 6 - steps ledder. Doesn` t matter. Now I have filmed and if I see it again someday I will improve the footage.

Also included in this video are all Boeing 747` s I filmed within the last 7 days. After I filmed the Cargolux Boing 747 I drove to Liege to film a Boeing 747-8F of Air Bridge Cargo which departed to Oslo. Don` t know what` s going on at Oslo in Norway but I filmed three cargo aircrafts departing at Liege that day. A Qatar Boeing 777, a Turkish Cargo A330F and the ABC B748 and all of them departed to Oslo.

Thanks for watching, new vidoes every tuesday and friday.SOURCE
