I had the opportunity of beta testing this amazing addon.
Well worth taking a look, I can easily recommend this aircraft for anyone who wants a light training aircraft in X-Plane.

Tweet   Today is a big day for lovers of the aerosoft airbus series! They have just released the A318/A319 professional for Prepar3D V4.3! After many delays and a long development, this 64-bit version of their Airbus series has undergone a very large overhaul, with most of the systems and modelling changed, hopefully, the end result will be worth it and from the feature list below, it does sound very promising…
    General:
Simulation of the A318 and A319 focused on the day to day operation of the aircraft from the left seat The cockpit is equipped as it is with high end airline, with the most up to date instruments Sublime modelling/texturing based on the latest technologies. Very easy on frame-rates. Lights are partly Dynamic Lights from P3D V4, partly done by RealLight (from TFDi Design) Full rain and rain repellent effects using TrueGlass (from TFDi Design) Dozens of non-standard animations, all with sound effects (sun screens, windows, tables, tiller, jump seat, standby compass, drooping flight surfaces etc). All main doors and cargo hatches can be opened. Extensive options to show ground objects (cones, ground power etc) and to provide ground power Included web server that allows you to access (and use) the MCDU via any web browser; ideal for tablet computers Extensive manuals, with highly detailed step-by-step document Add-in View system: adds many pre-defined views for easy use, emulates 2D panel views Add-in Sound system: adds hundreds of background sounds to enhance the immersion Includes our Semi-Intelligent co-pilot that assist you in your flights and runs checklists and flows with you. Connected Flight Deck v2 that uses a server-based system making it very easy to join other pilots and to fly as Co-Pilot or Observer (please note this will be rolled out with SP1) Systems:
Fully custom Fly-by-Wire systems with flight envelope protection, stall protection, pitch and roll limiter, g-load limiter, over speed protection, Alpha Floor protection, auto trim. Fully custom autopilot systems, with full Cat III auto land, V/S, Managed CLB/DES, OP CLB/DES, heading and NAV modes. VNAV and LNAV included. FPA/TRK included. Fully custom thrust computer systems (FADEC), throttle with detents, FLEX take-off Very complete MCDU (can be controlled via web browser, for example on tablet computers), also, information can be inserted using the keyboard Flight plans supports SIDs, STARs, transitions, approaches, go-arounds, holds, Managed climbs and descent, constraints, and direct-to route editing VOR tracking implemented, DME arcs supported Comes with NavDataPro (LIDO) navigation database but compatible with Navigraph. Includes current AIRAC Data at the time of release (so not a free outdated version) and this can be updated by the user at any moment. Complete FS2Crew Runway Awareness and Advisory System included (a ‚ā¨30 value!) 28 ECAM pages included, showing relevant aircraft information. Full features ADIR`s system. Full feature TCAS system (including audio warnings) for AI Traffic, IVAO, VATSIM. Full custom electrical bus system, with realistic battery run down and voltages. Hi all
I’ve been working on a comprehensive list of high quality XP11 aircraft.
If newcomers from P3D or other sims want to fly a particular aircraft in X-Plane 11, this list should tell you if it’s possible.
If you have any suggestions or additions to the list, let me know. I’m updating it weekly for new products anyways.
I’ve also included a small selection of useful plugins at the bottom of the sheet for newcomers.

    RIP

    Flight Sim World: Closure Announcement
APRIL 23 - DTG CRYSS It is with great sadness that we announce the future closure of Flight Sim World.

As you know, we always had a strong ambition to bring a new experience into the established world of flight simulation, one that deliberately overhauled both the flying experience and the graphical fidelity, offering new ways to fly.

Unfortunately, after many detailed discussions, we regrettably don’t see a clear direction that will allow us to keep to the development time we’d want, alongside the player numbers we need.

So, slightly before a year since we first launched into Early Access, we have made the intensely difficult decision to fully scale back all future development on Flight Sim World and remove it from sale on 24th May.

We’re sure you have lots of questions, we hope we’ve answered a few here.
FAQ What happens to Flight Sim World if I already own it?
It will remain in your Steam library, available to play in its current format.

Will the sim be taken off sale?
Yes, and we’re working to the date of 24th May 2018. We want to give anyone who does not yet own a copy of the sim enough time to get a copy and keep it safe in their library for future play.

What will happen to any Add-Ons?
Add-Ons will also come off sale, but those you already own will still also be in your Steam library.

We hope you can give the team the respect they deserve for their tireless hard work to date. Please know that all of us here at Dovetail hold flight simulation, the creators of add-on content, and especially you, the community for this sim, in incredibly high regard for both your support and time with Flight Sim World.

    - The Flight Sim World Team

The perfect rendition of the eight-largest airport in Europe comes with custom objects for the capital airport. Animated passenger boarding bridges, Safedock A-VDGSs, and high-resolution ground textures help establish a faithfully developed scenery for XPlane.

The Airport Rome-Fiumicino looks back to a lively past. Originally planned from 1939, the project was abandoned due to the Second World War. In 1947, construction began anew, but it dragged on for 13 years. The airport was officially inaugurated in 1960. The following decades saw several new boarding bridges and piers being added, until the connected, semicircular terminal building of today was finished.

    Sunskyjet's Detroit Metro update.
Looks amazing even if it was a payware airport, but of course it's free!
For those of you who haven't tried their KPHL, it's amazing and works in V4.

An X-Plane user called Adrian recently announced a Zibo-style modification to Carenado's ageing C152 II for X-Plane.
It looks to be really promising, as a C152 pilot myself I am certainly looking forward to it.
Until Justflight's C152 arrives for X-Plane, this seems to be a great alternative. Can't wait.
You can see a preview of the aircraft by following this link: https://flightdeckx.com/review-carenado-c152-ii-with-nhadrians-mod/
Me being swept away by this hype:
