  1. Great, so looking forward to "rocking" myself!!
  2. Thanks, Noodle, I got all the parts now. I just have to take the EVGA 1080ti out of my old computer and put back the 980ti that was in their originally. I am happy that FlightSimExpo 2019 will be in Orlando. I can drive down from just east of Atlanta and drop the wife off with Florida friends. I know all you guys were rooting for Las Vegas again and I understand all your reasons but for me this is a goo selection. Thanks again for your thoughts regarding the new computer.
  3. Did not know that, but already bought the processor.
  4. Thanks guy, certainly something to consider then.
  5. I forgot to add that the video card was a EVGA 1080ti. With that graphics card which has 11 gig of video ram I thought 16 gig ram was enough. I obviously run flight simulators, P3D, X-Plane, Aerofly FS2 and DCS. I have both the Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive and use them in flight sims as well as general VR gaming.
  6. This is probably not the right place to ask this question, and if so please move or tell me where this should have gone. I am building a computer with the following specs/components. Was wondering if anyone had any heads ups for me before I start. Component: NZXT s340 Elite, Matte Black, Red Trim Case Gigabyte Aorus Z370 Gaming 7 Motherboard Intel 8th Gen Core i7 8700K Six Core , overclocked to 5.0 Corsair Hydro Series H100i Liquid Cooling 16GB Corsair DDR4 SDRAM 3200MHz CORSAIR HXi Series Power Supply, HX1000i, 1000 Watt Samsung 860 EVO 500GB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD X 3 Seagate 2TB BarraCuda SATA 6 Gb/s Thanks for any comments SOURCE INFO DEVELOPER POST LINK : NEWS SITE ARTICLE LINK :
  7. Thanks for the info. Will have to wait and see if it appeals to me.
  8. Eagle Dynamics, the makers of DCS World, DCS A10-C Warthog and Lock On: Modern Air Combat, has announced a brand new game. Called simply Modern Air Combat, it will include 14 flyable aircraft spanning conflicts during the Korean War to the modern day. The title is expected to launch this fall for PC and be compatible with modern virtual reality devices. 9. Now I have to give you that one, certainly a consideration.
  10. I was stuck hauling around my luggage on Sunday. I did ask the head guy if next year they could have a room set aside for luggage drop off. He said he would lo into it.
  11. Just wondering, how many of you saw all you needed to see, heard all you needed to hear on Saturday and wish that you had flown home on Saturday afternoon/night? SOURCE INFO DEVELOPER POST LINK : NEWS SITE ARTICLE LINK :
  12. Word is that the developers of FlightSimExpo are talking about a different location in 2019. Perhaps a different location each year. I think that is a great idea. Perhaps some of us that flew to Las Vegas can drive to a different location in 2019. So where do you think next year’s Expo should be held. My vote is Orlando. 13. HI all, Been using Wheelstand Pro Products for a while in particular the one shown below that hold the Saitek Peddles, Yoke and Throttles, see picture 2. But I was never satisfied with their way of holding a HOTAS. Recently they have developed a new product the Super Warthog Stand, see picture 1. What I like about it is the ability to move the joystick and throttles around. I can use it like shown in picture 1 to fly a plane with the joystick in the middle and throttles to the right or I can reconfigure it like the Airbus with the joystick on the left and throttles on the right. The stand will accept the following: Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals Thrustmaster T. Flight 4 HOTAS Saitek Pro Flight X-55/X-56 HOTAS Saitek Pro Flight X52 Control System Saitek Pro Flight X-65 MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals Thrustmaster T. Flight Rudder Pedals - mounted with special bands - email mail them for the bands. The lady at the website is most helpful and will almost certainly return your email or phone call that same day. 14. Is the following topic attributed to Froogle worth a discussion. Dovetail has the entertainment rights to FSX. Lockheed Martin had the rights for the FSX platform for use in training, etc. Lockheed Martin has two copies of Prepar3d for sale, the Professional version and the Academic version of Prepar3d at a much reduced price. When purchasing Prepared Lockheed Martin did not attempt to determine if the Sim was to be used in training or in the case of the Academic version, there no attempt by Lockheed Martin to determine the “Academic” status of the purchaser. Could Dovetail legally make a claim that Lockheed Martin made no attempt to determine how each copy of Prepar3d was to be used and therefore many copies were used for entertainment purposes, contributing to the demise of Flight Sim World. 19. You are so right. Once they completely work out the controls for VR, Aerofly FS 2 should be awesome.
  20. I have Prepar3d, X-plane 11 including the VR add-on, Flight Simulator World, Aerofly FS 2 and DCS. I have the current Flyinside VR add-on for Prepar3d. I am interested in being a part of the best, whichever it turns out to be.
  21. We are developing a next-generation flight simulator, and we'll be sharing our progress regularly via this website. We're looking forward to sharing our progress with the community, and we'll be paying close attention to your feedback. We aren't just building the right simulator for us, we want to build the best simulator for you! LINK TO SOURCE: http://flyinside-flightsim.com/
  22. FlightSimCon is doing themselves no favors with there current websight which does not show any vendors attending. Flightsim Expo’s websight vendor list is a who’s who of flight Sim vendors.
  23. Flightsimcon is in Dallas Texas this year. Flightsim Expo as you stated is in Las Vegas.
