So on the cast yall spoke on what could come from a V5 of Prepar3d. The most sensible thing to me is to update the engine. Having more FPS is going to do what lets be honest. All of the things you mentioned that have been available in the other competitor sims have been available for sometime and now V4.4 has brought those things in and its great.  But to go down the path of omg I need more frames isnt necessary when the bulk of users cant sustain over 40fps with good scenery/graphics settings for a solid experience.
The base engine is still limited in the way it performs and doing some "tweaks" to say oh look at me 100fps doesnt mean squat if the sliders have to come down to a significant level to do it.  As it stands, anyone could feasibly get over 100fps right now but again that requires you to have a monitor with the refresh rate to sustain it which means gasp....monitor upgrades and drop the sliders.  Additionally your GPU is going to have to work either harder or not at all to get to that point.
It has been said that in the sims 30fps is sufficient and to "some" extent I can agree but ideally I feel that 45-60 fps allows for a more fluid representation of what your seeing without having drastic performance issues. Now unless you are running on say a SSD the load times for scenery/graphic draw can be reduced alot but in the end the engine itself isnt all that great.
Rewrite the engine code or get something new but to say OMG we need 100fps isnt worth it at all for this sim or the competitor sims...again, excluding DCS because this type of flying doesnt require it UNLESS your one of the many people out there who want to extend their epeens and showoff. Its not say a shooter game that requires you to sustain 60fps or better to have the great gameplay experience and the flight sims dont require the century mark of FPS to have a great flight experience.
So rewrite the engine or get a new one which will allow anyone with more current hardware specs to at a minimum run the sim (Prepar3d) at mid slider to higher settings and have a fluid experience without jaggies, freezing etc as the scenery/graphics load. That to me would be the holy grail for Prepar3d and really make it shine.

    Hello pilots,
So I came across an issue were I could not taxi any GA aircraft properly in XP.  After a long bout of frustration, looking at configs and posting a question it appears that by default XP disables your nose wheel steering. This effectively turns ANY GA (not sure about heavies) normal rudder pedal input to taxi into a free castoring nose wheel even if the plane does not have free castor.
The fix is you need to set a bind to a key or stick for nose wheel steering toggle thus allowing you to reengage normal ground taxi operations.
If you have this issue, hopefully this clears it up for you!!

There are things in the sky we do not know for sure and for world governments to put the lid on stuff like this really must end. There are far too many reports, sightings, videos (good ones) and other material that supports things like this. I feel its not so much to call them UFO's as well, things like this HAVE been identified but no label has been put to them as we just dont know where they came from.
Its easy imho to say UFO in a more general relative term but putting a label on it is what makes it more interesting...what IS this thing we have seen and how do we define it. Besides, countless millions already believe in this as it is and like in so many other media formats that discuss this...governments feel that humanity as a whole is not ready (according to them) to accept the fact that these things exist and its easier to cover it up for possible mass fear.
And yes, after things I have seen and read I do believe that there are things that are definitely not built and flown by humans

Having looked around at a number of model sites I have been keen to get my own collection going. Hard part is finding the right place that has a solid balance between detail/build quality and price. Some sites I have seen charge alot for the models and its tough as you can only see the quality via pictures.
Personally I hope to find some good stores here in Vegas that sell models of this type but thus far my only model I have is of a Qatar Airlines 787 which I do like alot.

Ok that fee is highly outrageous. You would think that they would change things up and be open espescially when your indicating that there is going to be an aviation related event going on for a couple days in the area and you will not be open for it....yea, who in the F picked Orlando

This is interesting, if this truly works then its going to be a bit of a changer for P3D. The biggest issue will be those using payware products already and installed and it working with Ortho. I am most curious to see down the road people who give this ago and what they see. Additionally i'm curious if the file sizes are comparable to X-Plane as well and if the quality is any better.
Things like this are great as a whole for people who do not want to spend large amount of monies and its a great solution, but the jury is out for me until I see people take the risk and give it a go and show shots, and videos as well

Two Boeing 747`s -- Both of them departed at Liege within two hours with the same destination - New York JFK. The first Boeing 747 of CAL was fully loaded and the second Boeing 747 of Kalitta Air was empty and just loaded with fuel. In my opinion it was a pretty fast takeoff for a long haul flight. It just rotatet after the touchdown zone of runway 24. The Kalitta B747 operated a charter flight to Liege and after that it had to be ferried back home to the USA.

The Boeing 747 is one of my favorite airplanes and Liege is a perfect airport if you are interested in B747`s. The third Boeing 747 in this video is operated by Air Atlanta Icelandic in special "Magma" colours. I tried to catch if for a year and four weeks ago I finally filmed it after arriving from Hahn.

All clips which are included in this video were filmed on a single day. That` s why Liege is the place to be for a "cargospotter" like me.

I hope you liked my newst Boeing 747 compilation video, new videos every tuesday and friday.SOURCE

    Hello fellow loungers,
I just wanted to put out a thanks to all for the continued support and involvement with the Lounge.  From the initial days of myself, Edson and Sparks talking about how we would like to see this and now a couple years in its grown I am very surprised. We have had some ups/downs, creative differences, people coming and going and some rather "entertaining" moments chatting with all but overall its been a goodtime.
Here's to continued growth, new faces, new experiences and more fun!
    Thanks one and all!
Your I dont Give a Flying F because I will tell it straight co-creater/host (looking to stream soon).

And here we go again...yet ANOTHER aircraft in development while at least what 3-6 are still being designed, previously announced and unreleased. Come on, finish what has already been announced and in development first before telling us about another.
At this point, it feels more like Milviz is becoming just a development factory

Would it be cool, sure, am i overly excited...no. The production time on this has been extremely slow along with everything else they have been doing. Its like they announce we are doing all of these aircraft and my god its like where is the progress. Their B200, where is that, the Avanti...where is that, the C-130...where is that.
I really enjoy my MIlviz products i really really do but its just abit hard for me to get even a small smile on my face for this one. But when it does happen ill be happy if I can have an E model and paint from the F-15 units I have been assigned to. But just feel to admire me as I peel away from you and leave you crying wishing for another engine...damn '16s..
