  1. Airbus A310s are getting more and more rare these days and even in the German Air Force their days are counted as they will soon be replaced by a multinational European fleet of Airbus A330s. Thus a good point in time for the AirClips team to join a Luftwaffe flight from Cologne Bonn to Tiflis and back with their 20+ cameras for creating a thorough documentation of both this wonderful aircraft type and the super professional airline-like flight operations of Deutsche Luftwaffe. This is an exclusive scene from the full A310 ULTIMATE COCKPIT MOVIE of that rotation (two flights in one film) which will also be published on this channel - totally free of charge as always - on Friday December 21st 2018 10am CET! Also do not miss to watch the takeoff and landing shown in this movie as exclusive 360-degree videos, ideally using your VR goggles: Takeoff in 360 degree: https://youtu.be/rDFlhR7VFsM Landing in 360 degree: https://youtu.be/P6l2TCRFVMw All for free - proudly sponsored by our sister channel 360.AirClips.com AirClips.com supports the pilot’s profession and all those interested in dedicating their lives to the beauty of flying. In a special series we are reporting about pilot’s training, life and career opportunities in the Lufthansa Group, one of the world’s leading aviation groups. Let us encourage you to consider becoming a future pilot for one of the Lufthansa Group airlines, starting with a thorough training by European Flight Academy (EFA). Did you know that... - Lufthansa Group needs over 500 new pilot students every year for their airlines? - Lufthansa Group gives you access to affordable financing solutions? - pilot’s limitations regarding debility of eye-sight allow a lot more flexibility than you maybe think? - not speaking German does not stop you from joining the Group? - female cadets are particularly encouraged to join? Check out their link for more details on how to join: https://www.european-flight-academy.com/en/ The Airbus A310 is a medium- to long-range twin-engined wide-body jet airliner that was developed and manufactured by Airbus, then a consortium of European aerospace manufacturers. It was the second airliner to be produced by the company, the first being the A300. The A310 is a smaller derivative of the A300, which held the distinction of being the first twin-engined widebody airliner. The German Air Force (German: Luftwaffe) is the aerial warfare branch of the Bundeswehr, the armed forces of Germany. With a strength of 27,704 personnel (30 June 2018), it is the fourth largest air force within the European Union, after the air forces of the United Kingdom, France and Italy. Although its budget has been significantly reduced since the end of the Cold War in 1989–1990, the Luftwaffe is still among the best-equipped air forces in the world. The German Air Force (as part of the Bundeswehr) was founded in 1956 during the era of the Cold War as the aerial warfare branch of the armed forces of then West Germany. After the reunification of West and East Germany in 1990, it integrated parts of the air force of the former German Democratic Republic, which itself had been founded in 1956 as part of the National People's Army. There is no organizational continuity between the current German Air Force and the former Luftwaffe of the Wehrmacht combined forces founded in 1935, which was completely disbanded in 1945/46 after World War II. The term Luftwaffe that is used for both the historic and the current German air force is the German-language generic designation of any air force.SOURCE

  4. Last week two unusual Boeings visited DUS Airport. The special painted VIP Boeing 757 flew Manchester City back home to Manchester after its Champions League match against Schalke. The Boeing 767 of Ukraine International was the biggest highlight this week because it was a very unusual upgrade from the normal Boeing 737. Don` t know the reason for the upgrade, there was no special fair nearby and no football game with a ukrainian team. I highly assume the reason was increased cargo demand. The Boeing 757-200 used to be my favorite Boeing airplane when I was younger and since we don` t have regular Boeing 757-200 flights in my area anymore it` s always nice to see one of them. In the meantime my "airplane taste" changed a little and now my favorite Boeing plane is the Boeing 727. Thanks for watching, new videos every tuesday and friday.SOURCE
  5. Landing from Deauville, France, in Lappeenranta, Finland, with six racing horses aboard! The Antonov An-12 (NATO reporting name: Cub) is a four-engined turboprop transport aircraft designed in the Soviet Union. It is the military version of the Antonov An-10 and was made in many variants. The first prototype flew in December 1957. Over 900 had been built, in both military and civilian versions, before production finally ended in 1973. The An-12BP entered Soviet military service in 1959. In terms of configuration, size and capability, the aircraft is similar to the United States-built Lockheed C-130 Hercules. Military Soviet and former-Soviet examples have a defensive tail gun turret. In the 1960s China purchased several An-12 aircraft from the Soviet Union, along with a license to assemble the aircraft locally. However, due to the Sino-Soviet split, the Soviet Union withdrew its technical assistance. It was not until 1974 that the first Chinese-assembled An-12 had its maiden flight. The Xi'an Aircraft Company and Xi'an Aircraft Design Institute worked to reverse-engineer the An-12 for local production. In 1981, the Chinese copy version of the An-12, designated Y-8, entered production. Since then the Y-8 has become one of China's most popular military and civilian transport/cargo aircraft, with many variants produced and exported. A Tu-16/H-6 bomber navigator cockpit design was chosen for Y-8 instead of the original An-12 shorter navigator cockpit design, as the H-6 bomber had been in serial production for some time. Although the An-12 is no longer made in Russia or Ukraine, the Y-8 continues to be upgraded and produced in China. The latest Y8-F600 is a joint venture between Shaanxi Aircraft Company, Antonov Aeronautical Scientific-Technical Complex (ASTC), and Pratt & Whitney Canada. The Y8-F600 has a redesigned fuselage, western avionics, PW150B turboprop engines with an R-408 propeller system, and a two-crew glass cockpit. It is unknown whether the Shaanxi Y-8 remains in production, yet many believe it will remain in production for the foreseeable future. The here seen An-12BK has an increased 30-tonne (66,140 lb) payload, improved avionics suite, TG-16M APU and the widened cargo door of the An-12BP characterized the An-12BK, which was built exclusively for the VTA (Komandovaniye voyenno-transportnoy aviatsii), a major component of the Soviet Air Force. Ukraine Air Alliance is an airline based in Kiev, Ukraine. It operates cargo and passenger charters as well as services to Asia, Africa and Europe. Its main bases are Boryspil International Airport (KBP) and Zhulyany International Airport (IEV). The airline was established on 28 February 1992 and started operations in 1993. It registered with the Ukrainian authorities as a joint stock company and was one of the first private air enterprises in Ukraine to obtain international status through registration at ICAO. The airline has taken part in UN relief flights. The Ukraine Air Alliance fleet includes (at July 2018) 7x AN-12SOURCE

  8. I tried to film this special painted Boeing 747-8 of Cargolux for a long time and last tuesday I finally managed to film it departing from Maastricht back home to Luxemburg. Sadly I wasn` t able to use a tripod and I was forced to film it handheld while standing on a 6 - steps ledder. Doesn` t matter. Now I have filmed and if I see it again someday I will improve the footage. Also included in this video are all Boeing 747` s I filmed within the last 7 days. After I filmed the Cargolux Boing 747 I drove to Liege to film a Boeing 747-8F of Air Bridge Cargo which departed to Oslo. Don` t know what` s going on at Oslo in Norway but I filmed three cargo aircrafts departing at Liege that day. A Qatar Boeing 777, a Turkish Cargo A330F and the ABC B748 and all of them departed to Oslo. Thanks for watching, new vidoes every tuesday and friday.SOURCE

The name of the company is derived from the German word, Luft 'air' and Hansa, the Hanseatic League. Lufthansa is one of the five founding members of Star Alliance, the world's largest airline alliance, formed in 1997. Besides its own services, and owning subsidiary passenger airlines Austrian Airlines, Swiss International Air Lines, Brussels Airlines, and Eurowings including Germanwings (referred to in English by Lufthansa as its Passenger Airline Group), Deutsche Lufthansa AG owns several aviation-related companies, such as Lufthansa Technik, as part of the Lufthansa Group. In total, the group has over 600 aircraft, making it one of the largest airline fleets in the world. Lufthansa's registered office and corporate headquarters are in Cologne. The main operations base, called Lufthansa Aviation Center, is at Lufthansa's primary hub at Frankfurt Airport, and its secondary hub is at Munich Airport. The Airbus A350 XWB is a family of long-range, twin-engine wide-body jet airliners developed by European aerospace manufacturer Airbus. The A350 is the first Airbus aircraft with both fuselage and wing structures made primarily of carbon fiber reinforced polymer. Its variants seat 280 to 366 passengers in typical three-class seating layouts. The A350 is positioned to succeed the A340 and to compete with the Boeing 787 and 777. The A350 was originally conceived in 2004 as a pairing of the A330's fuselage with new aerodynamics features and engines. In 2006, Airbus redesigned the aircraft in response to negative feedback from several major prospective customers and renamed it the A350 XWB (extra wide body). Development costs are estimated at €11 billion (US$15 billion or £9.5 billion). As of June 2018, Airbus had received 882 orders for A350s from 45 customers worldwide. The prototype A350 first flew on 14 June 2013 from Toulouse, France. Type certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency was received in September 2014 and certification from the Federal Aviation Administration two months later. On 15 January 2015, the A350-900 entered service with its launch operator Qatar Airways, and the A350-1000 on 24 February 2018 with the same airline. In June 2011, the A350-900 was scheduled to enter service in the first half of 2014, with the -800 to enter service in mid-2016, and the -1000 in 2017. In July 2012, Airbus delayed the -900's introduction by three months to the second half of 2014. The first delivery to launch customer Qatar Airways took place on 22 December 2014. The first commercial flight was made on 15 January 2015 between Doha and Frankfurt.SOURCE

  15. While I was waiting for a Boeing 787 of Etihad yesterday I noticed a smooth Ryanair Boeing 737 landing on runway 23L. It` s no fake or a glitch in the matrix. It` s a smooth landing of a Ryanair plane. They touched down with the left wheel first but it doesn` t matter. It was a butter landing. Although i planned to show you the beautiful Boeing 787 of Eithad in this video I changed my mind and thought a smooth Ryanair Boeing 737 landing would be more noteworthy. I included the Boeing 787 anyway. Yesterday the sun was shining all day in Europe and although our february is usually very cold and misty it feels like we already reached spring. It` s great.
