  5. One to keep in reserve perhaps Not to troublesome for a seasoned pilot but then it depends on the season you fly . Climate Singapore has a tropical rainforest climate with no distinctive seasons, uniform temperature and pressure, high humidity, and abundant rainfall. Temperatures usually range from 22 to 35 °C (72 to 95 °F). Relative humidity averages around 79% in the morning and 73% in the afternoon. April and May are the hottest months, with the wetter monsoon season from November to January. From July to October, there is often haze caused by bush fires in neighbouring Indonesia, usually from the island of Sumatra. Although Singapore does not observe daylight saving time (DST), it follows the GMT+8 time zone, one hour ahead of the typical zone for its geographical location. So a seasoned pilot might perhaps test out his skills during monsoon season This is part one of a proposed two part tour both will start from Singapore , the first returning there before departing for part two. (Part Two to be confirmed at a later date)

  7. From the French Riviera on the French, Swiss, Italian, Slovenian and Austrian Alps to Vienna! If you love to meander up the valleys this tour is for you. These mountains are simply too high to fly the direct route over the top. Your visual navigation skills will need to be up to scratch to make your way through this one. Starting on the French Riviera we travel through the alpine region, enjoying the spectacular scenery with optional diversions to the many famous landmarks (eg the fountain at Geneva, the North face of the Eiger, the infamous Innsbruck airport). En route we pass through the main alpine countries (France, Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia and Austria) ending our tour at Vienna. 9. How about a Great Lakes fly around start in the Chicago land area fly up the coast of lake Michigan cross over to lake superior come down the eastern cost of Michigan cross over to southern Ontario and then to upstate New York The tour could kick off in Waukegan at KUGN then head up the coast to Sheboygan (KSBM) or Manitowoc (KMTW) the home of alot of the WW2 era US subs then end up on an Island in northern Lake Michigan called Washington Island (2P2) with then a quick jaunt over the lake to Escanaba (KESC) . After watching Escanaba in the moonlight could head then to Houghton/Hancock (KCMX) or Ontonagon (KOGM). Departing Ontonagon you could hop in your FloatPlanes and head to Isle Royale National Park a LARGE island in the middle of Lake Superior.. Then from the Island take a quick hop to Thunder Bay (CYQT) or to the private airstrip CED8 to the northeast of the city about 40 miles Then through the forests of Northern Ontatio around the lake stopping at Terrance Bay (CYTJ) Marathon (CYSP) Wawa (CYXZ) and start heading back south to Sault Ste. Marrie there you could land at one of several airports on ether the Canadian or American side of the St. Marrys River there is also a few float plane based airports there as well. You could then bring the Tour down to the famous Grand Hotel on Mackinac (Mac A nack) Island (KMCD) and kick your feet up on the worlds longest Front Porch at over 600 feet long. From there cross the Straits of Mackinac and follow the Coast to Rogers City (KPZQ) Oscoda (KOSC or 6D9) cross th Saginaw Bay to the Thumb of Michigan to stop at Huron County in Bad Axe (KBAX). Continue down to, 56G, 7MI, crossing in to Ontario at Sarnia (CYZR) you could then go to Windsor (CYQG) across the river from Detroit or down to Chatham (CYCK) Following Lake Erie to St Thomas (CYQS) Peacock Pt. (CJA2) and then Cross in to NY state at Buffalo (KBUF). Departing Buffalo you can then follow Lake Ontario around stoping at D80, 7G0, KSDC, KFZY KART, and finaly ending at the start of the St Lawrence Seaway in Kingston On (CYGK). these are some of the highlighted towns along the lakes there are many more smaller airports along the way the terrain can be flat and it can be hilly some of the areas in the northern parts of Michgan can be high (2000-3000 ft) I know not any BIG MOUNTANTS but can be amazing to see the lakes over the hills nov 6, 2015 (edited) by Mandizle

  11. https://flightplandatabase.com/plan/113206 I've set up a tour through Norway, from the very south, past Arctic Circle, right to the North Cape at the very north of Norway. Details are in the link where I've proposed to add it to the World Tours app. It consists of short 'jumps' of 30-80nm stretches, which should make it easy for anyone to do the tour even short on time and only able to do a leg or two at a time. Wanted to share with you guys since you seem to enjoy doing the flight tours! If you check it out then I hope you'll enjoy the tour across my home country Here is the ICAO list to copy/paste into flight planning tools (e.g. SkyVector etc) ENCN ENLI ENZV ENSO ENBR ENBL ENSD ENAL ENML ENKB ENVA ENNM ENBN ENST ENRA ENBO ENSH ENAN ENTC ENHK ENHF ENHV ENHV 711007N0254700E The last part is not an ICAO but the GPS coordinates for the North Cape in order to plot it and fly to it. It's only 10nm north of the final destination at ENHV (Honningsvåg). sep 28, 2015 (edited) by Ghroznak
  12. (Latecoere 28 seaplane used by Mermoz in 1930 for the first commercial crossing of the South Atlantic. The same route Air France 447 was following in the opposite direction, crossing the massive storms encountered in the inter tropical convergence zone) As mentioned on Twitch yesterday, here is an idea for a crazy route following in the footsteps of some legendary pilots in the late 1920s, from France all the way to Chile. A quick background on the Compagnie Generale Aeropostale first:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A%C3%A9ropostale_(aviation) The route itself https://simanaitissays.files.wordpress.com/2013/10/aeropostalemap.jpg Toulouse - Barcelona - Alicante - Malaga - Tanger - Rabat - Casablanca - Agadir - Cap Juby - Villa Cisneros - Port Etienne - Saint-Louis - Dakar - Praia - Fernando de Noronha - Natal - Recife - Maceio - Bahia - Caravelas - Vitoria - Rio de Janeiro - Santos - Florianopolis - Porto Alegro - Pelotas - Montevideo - Buenos Aires - Mendoza - Santiago (from Santiago they also went up to La Paz and from Buenos-Aires down to Puenta Arenas) Some airports are not there anymore or have changed name but I found this page with ICAO identifiers for most of them:http://ggl.pagesperso-orange.fr/aeropostale/aeroports.html oct 29, 2015 (edited) by M3rm0z
