  3. Immersive Audio Announces 737NG CFM Soundpack Update Post-release of the Immersive Audio 737NG CFM Immersion Soundpack, customers criticised the product saying the engine sounds lack bass. Immersive Audio announces that they will be releasing an update to surprise their customers with the more bassy sounds they want. For their updated sounds, Immersive Audio say that they were not satisfied with the overall quality of some recordings that they’ve received for their updated soundpack so they’ve decided to wait for new ones, and as most people already know, they won’t release anything unless it passes their quality test. All of their sound packs will now be developed and tested for the utmost bass delivering sound with the ButtKicker Tactile Shaker. If you own the ButtKicker Tactile Shaker and you’re not using in-sim telemetry data for sending vibration effects, you can rest assured that their sounds will deliver natural feeling vibrations. You can grab a hold of the Immersive Audio 737NG CFM Soundpack over at simMarket for 25% off (€7.35 Excl. VAT) until October 14th. 4. Mettar Simulations Release Development Update #7 After a crazy few weeks, Matt Davies has posted development update #7 over on the Mettar Simulations blog. This update is sure to hype us up with some enticing information and screenshots we’ve all been longingly awaiting. Matt says that his team have been focusing on every single project at the same time and its been working surprisingly well. The idea is for every project to interact with one another whilst remaining completely independent, he’s included a breakdown of each product and how they interact with one another that you can check out over on the blog post. POSCON has reached a development stage where it will soon be opened to their testing team which you can be part of. They’re still sorting out bugs and improving services across the board where they’ll be opening up POSCON during weekends for “open beta waves”. These waves will focus on different areas of POSCON each weekend and will allow them to properly test the network. The second most common question about POSCON is about the voice codec/quality. Take a listen to the audio clip below which demonstrates POSCON’s voice capabilities. 7. Laminar Research Shares More 11.30 Update Features Recently posted in the developer blog for X-Plane, Ben Supnik shared two small details about what we can expect in the future from X-Plane 11’s upcoming 11.30 update 4K Panels: In the new update, developers can utilise the higher 4k resolution of panels for their aircraft, to allow for more details and better graphics from their custom, plugin-based textures. It is important to note though, that smooth performance cannot be promised from loading such a high resolution into the aircraft’s systems. Cockpit Objects: 11.30 will allow developers to utilise a single .obj (object) file for loading the cockpits of their aircraft, so no duplicated are required for products that are released with varying fuselages or engine types for the same cockpit. Plane-Maker will also automatically reconfigure old aircraft to follow the new setup of having the cockpit object listed as a ‘misc’ object within the menus, so developers need not worry about manually updating this. That’s all for now; more news to come regarding 11.30 as we get it. 8. [UPDATE 0715z 20/09/18] ImagineSim Seeking Support to Develop Frankfurt (EDDF) Scenery [UPDATE 0715z 20/09/18] ImagineSim has now confirmed on their Facebook page that Frankfurt is no longer going ahead due to the lack of co-operation from airport authorities at Frankfurt. —————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————- Frankfurt seems to be an extremely popular airport within the flight sim community to develop. Aerosoft have already released a popular rendition of the airport, and Flightbeam were keen to create one. Sadly, the later of the two has been cancelled. However, it would appear that ImagineSim are looking to break into the German market with their own version. Whilst ImagineSim are updating their website to bring it to more modern times, they have updated their “Future Products” section of the site. Thanks to reader Dean, who informed us of the information originally, the future products part of the site is now seeking assistance for developing Frankfurt Airport. The team state that they now have access to “remarkable” ground imagery for many airports in the German area. As part of their new “evolution” series of products, Frankfurt was chosen to be the first to take advantage of this new imagery. However, the team have met some challenges along the way, similarly to Flightbeam, in that they cannot get the access they need to take on-site photos for the product. The team are asking that anyone who works at, or has contacts with, Frankfurt Airport should reach out to them to help get things moving along. They’re generally looking for someone who can obtain details about pathways and other fact-finding information. No time frames or other information was given at this time. In the mean time, you can view some of our exclusive images for Singapore, which we’re hoping is released sooner than later. After downloading the update from your vendor of choice, you should be able to use SODE jetways instead of the default (Ctrl+J) ones, to ‘enhance your jetway animation experience‘ according to the developer. 11. FSDreamTeam Issue GSX Level 2 Update to Fix Blurry Texture Bug by Calum Martin on 16th September 2018 20 comments FSXNewsP3D facebook Twitter Reddit The release of GSX Level 2 last week has seen the flight sim community take plenty of screenshots of their new in-sim avatars walk along the apron into the virtual buses or down the SODE jetway to be greeted by the new cabin crew. However, the software itself had been reported by a fair few forum users about how their sim become a bit of a blurry mess after installing GSX Level 2. Although originally dismissed by the developer as they couldn’t recreate it, after more proof was submitted by the community, FSDreamTeam were able to investigate the issues more thoroughly. With this in mind, the team were quick to release a statement and a fix via their FSDT Live Updater tool. In their statement on Facebook, the team said: “We found the cause for blurred textures when using GSX Level 2 with many scenery add-ons installed (especially global vector/landclass), and it was caused by a bug.” They continued by saying that users should use the FSDT Live Updater to install the new fix to ensure it no longer impacts their simulator. You can buy GSX Level 2 now from their store for $29.00. Don’t forget, you’ll need to already own the original GSX for GSX Level 2 to function. We’ll shortly be publishing a review of GSX Level 2, so stay tuned to FSElite for that. You can watch our first look video above in the mean time. 14. While it’s certainly been a while since we last reported on a Mettar Simulations Dev update, mainly due to the fact that each one was, essentially, talking about the same thing with little for us to actually talk about. Today, we’re excited to report that Mettar Sim has posted Dev update #6 that’s packed with information including a render of the upcoming A380! First up is projectFLY. projectFLY has seen the formation of a Focus Group, which is pretty much a team that brainstorms the future of the project and report bugs to the development team while testing prerelease candidates. Two new updates have been released for the app since the last dev update, and major work has been undertaken on the X-Plane Plugin to make it more accurate and reliable. MacOS and Linux support is on the horizon with just a few last minute items to iron out, and the dispatcher is taking longer than anticipated but work is well underway. Continuing on with projectFLY coverage, contracts have been added to the app. Contracts allow the users to outsource their aircraft to another pilot based on a bidding system. The user can specify the departure and arrival airports, the aircraft, as well as the flight number/callsign when creating a contract. Once another user has won the bid, they will fly the aircraft from its intended departure onto its destination. This sounds mightily similar to PMDG’s upcoming Global Flight Operations, so it should be interesting to see how popular it is. The team’s recently announced acquisition of POSCON development has yielded some significant developments in the core architecture. The network will be featuring a 10hz refresh rate, which allows for increased fluidity of the network, and no more stuttering of flying aircraft you commonly see on Vatsim today. A nice image showing off the high refresh rate, and what it allows, for can be found below. Simstall continues to be in development, and the same goes for the A380, although a preview render of the external was provided, which can be found below. That’s all for now, and we’ll continue to keep you updated on any new pieces of information just as soon as we have them! 15. [UPDATE] GSX Level 2 Accidentally Released A Day Early, Withdrawn From Sale UPDATE 0950z: Early adopters are reporting that simMarket is having issues serving the install file. Be aware that even after you purchase, you may not be able to download the installer. We’ll keep you posted. UPDATE 0953z: And now the Buy Now button has disappeared. This may have been a false start by simMarket – we’ll make some inquiries. UPDATE 1000z: FSDreamTeam has confirmed in a post on their forum that the product was made available by mistake, but have no fear, you will be able to get your hands on this tomorrow. Anyone who managed to already purchase prior to the product being pulled will have their purchases remain valid. Original post follows; First announced at FSExpo earlier this year, FSDreamTeam’s GSX Level 2 is now available. GSX Level 2 is an expansion pack to the base GSX add-on for Flight Simulator X and Prepar3D. Where the base addon will add ground services to your airports, GSX Level 2 takes this a step further by providing a greater level of immersion with animated pax and flight crew boarding and de-boarding your flights, as well as the ability to add SODE jetways to any airport. Check out the FSElite First Look (above) that we posted to our YouTube account just a couple of days ago to see how incredible this add-on really is. GSX Level 2 is available now from simMarket for EUR 27.00. Note that this purchase is an upgrade, and you must also own the base GSX add-on (available here for EUR 34.00). 16. Originally for the ill-fated Flight Sim World, the Blue Sky FS Spitfire Mk. XIV was a great little aircraft in the sim when Shane gave it a first look. Since the closure of FSW, the team at Blue Sky FS have been busy porting over the aircraft to P3Dv4. One of the biggest challenges for the team were convering the PBR rendered textures of FSW into non-PBR rendered (although that may not be the case for very long). As you can see from the shots below, the team have done a good job at conveying the realistic look with the current limites of P3Dv4. In addition to texturing, some animation errors need fixing and flight modelling needs some work on. What’s very cool is that the team at Blue Sky FS will (hopefully) be streaming parts of the development process so you can see how the magic happens. Right now, their plan is to release by the end of September and are also in talks with multiple publishing partners to release the aircraft to. This is in addition to their own self-publishing website. SOURCE INFO DEVELOPER POST LINK : NEWS SITE ARTICLE LINK : https://fselite.net/news/blue-sky-flight-simulations-spitfire-mk-xiv-update/

  21. The Citation Mustang is a small, yet popular business jet that hardly needs an introduction. Flight1 had previously created an excellent redition of this plane, and now it received a new update. The update, that goes by the name of ‘version 2’, adds Prepar3D v4 compatibility (64 bit) as well as a few new features. Also new is that the installer now comes in a complete, all-in-one installer that covers all of the platforms the plane was previously available on (FSX, P3Dv3). The updated version comes with enhanced and additional lighting features that are only available on P3Dv4. The G1000, which is included in this aircraft, also received some updates.
