  1. The US Army asked A2A for some help with simulation solutions using Accu-Sim so we made a few trips from Connecticit (North East US) to Ft Rucker Alabama (South) in the A2A Comanche 250. On our return flight, we catch the eastern side of a low pressure system with a nice tail wind.SOURCE
  2. We at A2A want to try something a little different by sharing more of our aviation experiences by way of some casual, off-the-cuff videos. This first video is about the Aerostar that has been stuck on the ground after discovering metal in our left engine's oil filter. We pulled the engine and things got delayed, so the airplane has been sitting, trapped inside of a hangar with a door that was not tall enough for it to pass under. We got it in by putting sand bags on the tail, lowering it, and moving the tail under. We have finally solved this issue and can now run up the engine for the first time in about a year.SOURCE

  10. A2A Looking to Bring Accu-Sim to X-Plane Although posted a week ago, this was missed by us and was brought to our attention by kind reader. Prepar3D / FSX users have had many years of flying GA and other aircraft using the A2A Accu-Sim engine. The custom built engine works with the SimConnect API to deliver results far beyond what the default sim can offer. A question often asked to the team is “when will you bring Accu-Sim to X-Plane?” Well, Scott from the A2A team answered the question by saying “we do want to get Accu-Sim to any platform that accepts it.” Promising! Scott went onto say that during FlightSimExpo, he spoke to Austin from Laminar Research about bringing in the Accu-Sim engine into X-Plane, to which Austin said “it is possible.” Scott continued by stating that a lot of the work has to go into how X-Plane and the engine will accept the code. Right now, it was designed and works well with the P3D/FSX environment, but Accu-Sim is being developed to be more modular and independent. You can read Scott’s full statement via the A2A forums. We’ll continue to monitor how this goes, and maybe we’ll see some more positive news in the future. Speaking of A2A, we’ll have a video review of their Accu-sim Bonanza V-Tail pretty soon. 11. A2A – The Latest Developer to Comment on FlightSimStore The tragic situation for customers who continue to use FlightSimStore appears to be getting worse. Aircraft developer A2A has issued a statement urging their customers to not use FlightSimStore any longer. Much like the other developers who sell their products through FSS, they have completely lost contact with the store owners. The news comes from Scott at A2A via the forums. At the moment, A2A products are still on sale via the store, but by the sounds of it, downloads are not reaching customers. However, A2A have provided those effected with a solution. You will need to head to the forums and PM Lewis. Make sure you let them see any proof of purchase and the team will be more than happy to help you. A2A are also encouraging members of the community to file a complaint to abuse@rackspace.com. This is the hosting company FlightSimStore are using. It’s hoped that the more emails and complaints they receive, the quicker this situation can be resolved. A2A are the latest in a long line of developers who have informed their customers of persistent issues with The FlightSimStore. Many developers have accused the company of not paying for products sold and numerous customers are not receiving products. Such developers include MilViz, Majestic and more. FSElite have contacted the team at FlightSimStore multiple times with no response. Some of our team members also tried to contact them through Facebook with many comments being deleted and censored – proving someone is still active within the store community. 14. Over on their Facebook page, A2A Simulations announced that their upcoming Accu-Sim V-Tail Bonanza is “on short final…”. Included with this little teaser was a single preview of the V-Tail coming into land. That’s all that was shared for now, though it was hinted at by A2A that they’ve implemented a form of rain visualization into the Bonanza; time will tell whether that turns out to be factual or simply a tease for what’s to come. We’ll let you know when the aircraft is out. 17. A2A have released their Accu-Sim Mustang, both Civilian and Military versions, for P3Dv4! \o/ The Accu-Sim P-51 Mustang is here finally in its P3Dv4 guise. Back in 2004, we released a P-51D for Microsoft Flight Simulator 9 that used a flight modelling process known as “Absolute Realism.” A lot of characteristics were being experienced for the first time in flight simulation. If you flew flight simulators, you were used to the old “yank and bank” as most flight simmers held the position that aircraft really didn’t spin. This was largely because, back then, developers were largely programmers, with no flying experience. Even today, while it’s getting more common, it’s still rare to find a developer who actually has even taken the controls of a real aircraft.Today, A2A has the wind at our back, with Accu-Sim helping to bring serious aviators and simulation together. However, the industry as a whole hasn’t really budged that much as people are discovering that it’s not enough to be a pilot, or even a highly experienced pilot. It takes an entirely different skill set to be able to observe, translate, and re-create the experience. It’s not being a pilot, aeronautical engineer, or even a highly skilled aircraft modeller that makes the difference. It’s the combination of “all the above” with, perhaps most importantly, a relentless drive to re-create the most believable experience possible. Even if you have never flown an aircraft before, you as a living person with an inherently deep sense of what is right or wrong in the physical world you live in. You touch things, see things, and hear things every minute of every day. So trust your instincts, because, if it doesn’t feel or sound right to you, it probably isn’t right. Also, in the real world, actions create lasting results, both good and bad. There are consequences everywhere inside of a cockpit, especially a high performance, propeller-powered, combustion driven aircraft. This is where the persistent aircraft makes all the difference. In the real world, you don’t get a fresh new aircraft every time you strap yourself into the cockpit. The aircraft is a physical machine that exists in the world. If your aircraft was pulling to the right when you parked it, it will still be pulling when you taxi to the runway the next day. When things happen in a simulated world as you expect in the real world, you start to treat it as if it is just that, real. With lasting results, wrapped inside the newest modelling and advanced material-making techniques, you will have an aircraft that you can spend not just minutes, but hours admiring.. Together, with professionally recorded sounds and physics, the end result is the sense of having a complete, real, majestic, raw, flying machine stuffed inside your computer. And we hope, you don’t just treat it like any aircraft, but rather like “your” aircraft. We hope you enjoy your new beautiful bird, and hope you learn to fly and treat her well. 21. A2A V-Tail Bonanza Cockpit Previewed Last previewed a little less than a month ago, and announced back in April, the A2A V-Tail Bonanza promises to bring a new and unique aircraft to our sims that we’ve never experienced before. While we’ve seen previews of the external model plenty before in the past, something we haven’t seen yet is where us virtual pilots spend the overwhelming majority of their time; the virtual cockpit! Unsurprisingly, coming from A2A, these previews look absolutely stunning and show that the aircraft is certainly getting closer to being in our hands sometime in the near future. When we have anymore information or previews, we, of course, won’t hesitate to share! SOURCE INFO https://fselite.net/previews/a2a-v-tail-bonanza-cockpit-previewed/
