  4. Stick and Rudder Studios Delighting The FlightSim Community Dear Flight Sim Enthusiast, You are receiving this email because you indicated you were interested in new releases of products from Stick and Rudder Studios. We have added over 1,300 new clips to the Canadian region. We have also significantly enhanced the X-ATC-Chatter stand-alone player in version 1.6. Here are some of the changes: Cleared any OpenAL errors before calling any OpenAL API’s Changed facility frequency tuning to checkboxes for better visibility Removed duplication of tower and Unicom at the same airport when both were assigned to the same frequency. In that case only the tower will displayed. Added support for VR on X-Plane 11.2 Added Canadian center transmitters Added generic center transmitters for the rest of the world Added support for pop-out windows for X-Plane 11 Added filtering of facilities for the Nearby Facility UI Increased the radius of nearby facilities UI to 75 NM Upgraded to the newest X-Plane SDK Added support to select multiple regions for chatter. This will allow you to easily combine similar regions like the U.S. and Canada to increase the clip count and reduce repeats. Added support to monitor COM2 for Center Override when using X_Plane ATC outside the U.S. where we do not have good Center tuning detection. Fixed a bug where X-ATC-Chatter would attempt to play non-wave files that were inadvertently placed in the controller directories. Prior to this fix X-ATC-Chatter would crash X-Plane when it attempted to play these non-wave files. Added support for clips to go to a separate audio device on Windows and Linux Rearranged controller order so that it was in the logical order of an IFR flight Added commands to select next and previous IFR controller when not using automatic controllers Added an option to pause chatter when the camera view is external Added more clips to Canada and the U.S. We have also added some additional clips in the U.S. but the major additions are in Canada. Here are the current clip counts for 1.6: United States: 1,706 Europe: 1,320 Canada: 1,779 South America: 0 Asia: 0 Africa: 0 Oceania: 130 If you had previously purchased X-ATC-Chatter you may have already received an email from Gumroad informing you that the collection has been updated. That email would have provided you a link to view and download the new version. You can also use the "View Product" link in your original Gumroad X-ATC-Chatter receipt email to access the new version of the collection and player. If you do not currently own X-ATC-Chatter you can download a free demo collection here: https://www.stickandrudderstudios.com/x-atc-chatter-sample-collection/ I would like to thank our volunteers who help collect the clips for X-ATC-Chatter. I would also like to thank all of you for your continued support of Stick and Rudder Studios. 6. Dear X-ATC-Chatter User I want to inform you that X-ATC-Chatter standalone player 1.6 beta build 3 is available. Beta 3 contains the following additions: Added support for pop-out windows for X-Plane 11 Added filtering of facilities for the Nearby Facility UI Increased the radius of nearby facilities UI to 75 NM Upgraded to the newest X-Plane SDK Note: This beta is for the stand-alone player only. The archive below does not contain any chatter clips and it is assumed you will use this with the clips previously purchased. This beta is also not for those customers who are using X-ATC-Chatter exclusively with Pilot2ATC as the stand alone player is not installed for that configuration. 7. Stick and Rudder Studios Delighting The FlightSim Community Dear X-ATC-Chatter User, Thank you for supporting X-ATC-Chatter. You are receiving this email because you indicated you were interested in beta programs of X-ATC-Chatter. I want to inform you that X-ATC-Chatter standalone player beta build 4 is available. I want to apologize profusely for having to send out this notice so soon on the heels of the beta 3 announcement but a few users found a nasty bug that could cause X-ATC-Chatter beta 3 to crash X-Plane on start depending on the custom scenery libraries you had installed. X-ATC-Chatter beta 3 was not handling all the variations of apt.dat that it should have. Hopefully I have caught all the variations with Beta 4 but if you run into any problems please let me as soon as possible so I can fix them quickly. Beta 4 contains the following additions: Fix a crash on X-Plane start caused by X-ATC-Chatter not handling apt.dat formats properly. Note: This beta is for the stand-alone player only. The archive below does not contain any chatter clips and it is assumed you will use this with the clips previously purchased. This beta is also not for those customers who are using X-ATC-Chatter exclusively with Pilot2ATC as the stand alone player is not installed for that configuration. As soon as this new stand alone player has had some testing it will be included in the final release of X-ATC-Chatter 1.5.3 which will also include some additional clips. You can get the zip file for just the stand alone player from our website: https://www.stickandrudderstudios.com/downloads/X-ATC-Chatter_Player_1.5.3B4.zip I suggest that you make a backup copy of your X-ATC-Chatter directory should you need to revert back to X-ATC-Chatter 1.5.2. Simply unzip the X-ATC-Chatter_Player_1.5.3B4.zip file into a temporary directory and then copy the resulting X-ATC-Chatter directory over the top of your current X-ATC-Chatter directory in the X-Plane plugins directory, allowing your copy utility to over write / merge the old files. Your Regions folder and any X-ATC-Chatter settings will be preserved. The user guide included in the zip file has a release notes section that outlines the changes in 1.5.3 Beta 4. Those sections of the manual that discuss the new features have been updated. If you are an X-Life user and want to try the integration you will need to get access to the X-Life 2.1 public beta 7. http://jardesign.org/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=19234#p19234 If you run into any problems or have feedback please don't hesitate to contact me at: Support@StickandRudderStudios.com I'm not planning any additional features for X-ATC-Chatter 1.5.3. Once we have had some mileage on this beta and fix any reported bugs I'll be updating the main package and sending out an update for the full package. If you are in the volunteer program I would like to encourage you to submit any additional clips you have been working on so we can include them in the final version of X-ATC-Chatter 1.5.3. Finally, I would like to thank all of you for helping to create X-ATC-Chatter 1.5.3 and for your continued support of X-ATC-Chatter and the chatter project: https://www.stickandrudderstudios.com/x-atc-chatter-project/ LINK TO SOURCE: https://www.stickandrudderstudios.com/x-atc-chatter-project/
  8. Stick and Rudder Studios Delighting The FlightSim Community Dear X-ATC-Chatter User, Thank you for supporting X-ATC-Chatter. You are receiving this email because you indicated you were interested in beta programs of X-ATC-Chatter. I want to inform you that X-ATC-Chatter standalone player beta build 2 is available. It contains the following additions: Recoded the player to play chatter files in the main X-Plane thread. The prior multi-threaded approach was causing erroneous errors being reported in the log file Added the ability for external plugins to integrate with X-ATC-Chatter Note: This beta is for the stand-alone player only. The archive below does not contain any chatter clips and it is assumed you will use this with the clips previously purchased. This beta is also not for those customers who are using X-ATC-Chatter exclusively with Pilot2ATC as the stand alone player is not installed for that configuration. 9. We have been expanding the collection of X-ATC-Chatter clips over the past few weeks and we are pleased to announce that V1.5 is available for those who have purchased the collection. Version 1.5 has the following file counts by region: United States: 1,518 Europe: 1,320 Canada: 287 South America: 0 Asia: 0 Africa: 0 Oceania: 130 In addition we have added a stand-alone player for X-Plane 10 and 11 for those users who don't want to use Pilot2ATC. You can view a demo video of version 1.5 here: https://www.stickandrudderstudios.com/x-atc-chatter-overview/If you had previously purchsed X-ATC-Chatter you may have already received an email from Gumroad informing you that the collection has been updated. That email would have provided you a link to view and download the new version. You can also use the "View Product" link in your original Gumroad X-ATC-Chatter receipt email to access the new version of the collection and player. Please note that in order to get the stand-alone player to work we had to convert all the chatter files from .MP3 format to .WAV format. If you are using these with Pilot2ATC please read the release notes in the user guide. Briefly, you will want to delete the original MP3 files from your Pilot2ATC ATC_Chatter folder before installing the .WAV equivalents. Failure to do this is going to cause duplicate chatter clips. For those of you on this mailing list that do not own X-ATC-Chatter we want to let you know that we will continue to offer the collection with the stand-alone player for the introductory price of $8.00 though the end of the year. You can download the player and a sample collection from here: https://www.stickandrudderstudios.com/x-atc-chatter-sample-collection/We have also added three new flags to our emailing list that indicate which products you are interested in getting email on. You can update your subscription preferences with the link at the bottom of this email to choose the products you want to get information on.I would like to thank all of you for your continued support of Stick and Rudder Studios. If you would like to be removed from the Stick and Rudder Studios mailing list you can unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of this email.Sincerely,MarkStick and Rudder Studios, LLC.
