  1. Kevin I'm staying loyal to Chaseplane. God the music in the video is awful.😊 In a forum post, The EZDok development team has published a ‘soft release’ of their new and improved EZdok Camera Professional v3 for FSX and Prepar3D v4. Version 3 of EZCA Pro carries along many new and innovative features such as an intuitive new user interface, a new ‘cameras’ category, a reworked dynamic head movement effect, landing and takeoff improvements, the EXtended Turbulence Moule, HiFi ActiveSky compatibility and more which can be viewed in the overview video embedded above. EZCA Pro v3 has been principally developed for Prepar3D v4, however, it will function in FSX but with some features not being available due to restrictions. The ‘soft release’ is a release candidate version of EZCA Pro v3 along with no product pages yet published to provide extended information. We’ll ensure to update this article once the product pages have been published. To grab a hold of EZDok Camera Professional v3, download the Flight1 Wrapper (EZdokProV3.exe) from the bottom of this forum post, once downloaded, run the .exe and you can obtain it from within the wrapper at a price of $39.95 (Incl. VAT). If you purchased EZDok Camera v2 on or after January 9th 2019, you’re entitled to an upgrade at no cost here. If you have purchased EZCA v2 before that date, you can get $15 off of your purchase of Pro v3 with the coupon (EZCA-Pro-3-Coupon.zip) linked at the bottom of this forum post. 2. X-Camera 2.3.2 and X-KeyPad 1.1 are Released My Links removed- should find all links needed in ur account if have purchased Stick and Rudder Studios Delighting The FlightSim Community Dear Flight Sim Enthusiast, You are receiving this email because you indicated you were interested in new releases of products from Stick and Rudder Studios. We have completed the beta testing for X-Camera 2.3.2 and X-KeyPad 1.1. These new versions are free updates for all customers. The primary purpose for both updates was to support license keys generated by the X-Plane.org store, however, both updates contained some minor bug fixes or improvements. Here are the changes: X-Camera 2.3.2 Fixed missing command for sim/view/quick_look_18 Added support to entering a license key using the X-Camera menu Added support for X-Plane.org Store keys Removed the “Licensed To” caption on the control panel for better privacy when posting screen captures X-KeyPad 1.1 Added support for X-Plane.org store keys in preparation for selling on the store Added the ability to enter and validate your key from the menu Added dataref arrays for current key state and key pressed flag Added the ability to specify up to 15 slave numeric datarefs that will be set simultaneously with the master You can download the new versions here: Installation Make a backup copy of your X-Camera and/or X-KeyPad folder Do not delete your existing X-Camera or X-KeyPad folders. This will preserve your license key and any settings you have saved Unzip the applicable archive to a temporary folder Copy the resulting X-Camera and/or X-KeyPad folder to your X-Plane plugins folder Example: X-Plane 11\Resources\plugins Allow your copy utility to over-write / merge the folder contents. This will update the changed files but will preserve any keys and settings X-KeyPad 1.2 X-KeyPad is a fairly new product and the earlier adopters are supplying us with great ideas for improvements. We had to release 1.1 now in support of sales on the X-Plane.org store but we want to continue the development with a new beta. If you are an X-KeyPad user and wish to participate in the beta you can follow the discussions and get access to the beta versions here: I would like to thank our volunteers who helped test the beta versions of X-Camera and X-KeyPad. I would also like to thank all of you for your continued support of Stick and Rudder Studios. For those of you who prefer to purchase your X-Plane add-ons from the X-Plane.org store you can see all of our product listings here: If you would like to be removed from the Stick and Rudder Studios mailing list or change your subscription preferences do so using the links at the bottom of this email. 4. X-Camera 2.3.2 Beta 1 is ready X-Camera 2.3.2 Beta 1 View this email in your browser Stick and Rudder Studios Delighting The FlightSim Community Dear X-Camera User, Thank you for supporting X-Camera. You are receiving this email because you indicated you were interested in beta programs and new releases of X-Camera. In a few weeks Stick and Rudder Studios will be offering our products on the X-Plane.org Store. In preparation for this event we needed to enhance some of our products to handle the license keys that will be generated by the store. X-Camera 2.3.2 has been enhanced to support these keys and to make it easier to enter and validate license keys using the traditional method of pasting your key in the UI and validating / activating the key. X-Camera 2.3.2 will continue to work with your existing keys and license.txt file and it will also continue to support those features that do not require a key. We would like to seek help from a few volunteers to test 2.3.2. We want to make sure that existing keys continue to work and that the new key paste and validate functions work across all three operating systems. Help from OSX / Linux users would be most helpful as well as from those of you running X-Camera on Windows. 2.3.2 also contains one minor bug fix associated with one of the quick look keys not working properly. This will be a very short beta period for X-Camera 2.3.2. If you would like to help us test it please visit the thread on X-Plane.org where you can download beta versions and report any problems. https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/160784-x-camera-232-beta/ Thank you for your continued support of X-Camera. If you would like to be removed from the Stick and Rudder Studios mailing list or update your subscription preferences you can do so using the links at the bottom of this email. 5. Stick and Rudder Studios Delighting The FlightSim Community Dear X-Camera User, Thank you for supporting X-Camera. You are receiving this email because you had previously registered for X-Camera and we want you to know about the new version which has just been released. X-Camera 2.3.1 is complete and is now ready for download. 2.3.1 contains a number of new features as well as some bug fixes and overall improvements. You can review the change log in detail in the new User Guide. Here is a brief list of the changes: Fixed a number of UI anomalies when running under X-Plane 11 Introduced an option to enable / disable the ability to force the FOV on a camera. This was causing a lot of problems with Multi-Monitor setups and caused a great deal of confusion when trying to adjust the FOV in the X-Plane graphics settings. X-Camera windows binaries are now being built as Release versions cutting down their size but not affecting functionality. Add support for the ten extra quick look commands in X-Plane 11.1 Fixed a bug where the yoke visibility camera option was only being saved as a Boolean when it really needed to be saved as a tri-state value. Note you will need to correct any cameras and resave the camera file. Increased Joystick axis array size from 250 to 500 slots per the new size in X-Plane 11.10 Added view axis calibration and adjustable view axis null zone Fixed a bug where the default Field of View was not getting restored if you were on a camera that forced a field of view setting and then selected an X-Plane view while leaving X-Camera enabled Fixed bugs in View and Camera axis inputs Added View and Camera axis smoothing Fixed bug where camera axis input was only handling the first 100 axis assignments in X-Plane 11 when it needed to be 250 in X-Plane 11 Added next and previous view ID buttons to the main control panel Added Head Track Smoothing Option Fixed the help text for the command SRS/X-Camera/Select_Category_n to indicate that it selects the last active camera in the category not the first category Fixed a bug where the command SRS/X-Camera/Select_Next_View_ID would not evaluate all cameras and would miss cameras with view IDs assigned to them You can get the 2.3.1 zip file from our website: https://www.stickandrudderstudios.com/downloads/X-Camera_2.3.1.zip I suggest that you make a backup copy of your X-Camera directory should you need to revert back to X-Camera 2.3. Simply unzip the X-Camera_2.3.1.zip file into a temporary directory and then copy the resulting X-Camera directory over the top of your current X-Camera directory in the X-Plane plugins directory, allowing your copy utility to over write / merge the old files. Your license.txt and X-Camera settings will be preserved. If you are currently a 2.2.1 registered user your current 2.0 registration key will work with 2.2. If you run into any problems please don't hesitate to contact me at Support@StickandRudderStudios.com. Finally, I would like to thank all of you for your help in creating X-Camera and for your continued support. I encourage you to promote its use in various forums if you feel comfortable doing so. One thing you can do is go to the download page on X-Plane.org and click on a five star rating and take the time to write a review. It would be greatly appreciated. My goal is to get X-Camera on the first page of both the most popular and highest quality utility plugins. I know it is a lofty goal but why not aim for the stars. http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=24209 If you would like to be removed from the Stick and Rudder Studios mailing list you can unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of this email. 6. Stick and Rudder Studios Delighting The FlightSim Community Dear X-Camera User, Thank you for supporting X-Camera. You are receiving this email because you indicated you were interested in beta programs and new releases of X-Camera. I want to inform you that X-Camera 2.3.1 beta build 4 is available. It contains the following additions: Fixed a number of UI anomalies when running under X-Plane11 Introduced an option to enable / disable the ability to force the FOV on a camera. This was causing a lot of problems with Multi-Monitor setups and caused a great deal of confusion when trying to adjust the FOV in the X-Plane graphics settings. Note: If you have camera definitions that force a particular horizontal field of view on a camera you will need to enable the aforementioned setting on the settings dialog. Please read the release notes about this change. You can get the zip file from our website: https://www.stickandrudderstudios.com/downloads/X-Camera_2.3.1B4.zip I suggest that you make a backup copy of your X-Camera directory should you need to revert back to X-Camera 2.3. Simply unzip the X-Camera_2.3.1B4.zip file into a temporary directory and then copy the resulting X-Camera directory over the top of your current X-Camera directory in the X-Plane plugins directory, allowing your copy utility to over write / merge the old files. Your license.txt and X-Camera settings will be preserved. The user guide included in the zip file has a release notes section that outlines the changes in 2.3.1 Beta 4. Those sections of the manual that discuss the new features have been updated but the tutorial videos have not been updated. Since 2.3.1 is a minor upgrade for X-Camera 2.0, 2.2.1, and 2.3 your existing license.txt file should work fine. If you run into any problems please don't hesitate to contact me at: Support@StickandRudderStudios.com Unless more bugs are found this will likely be the final beta build for 2.3.1. Please do not share the beta release or your license key with other people. If you have a friend that wants to be part of the beta program please have them contact me directly. This helps me control who is in the beta program so I can update them concerning information about bug fixes and new beta builds. 8. Stick and Rudder Studios Delighting The FlightSim Community Dear X-Camera User, Thank you for supporting X-Camera. You are receiving this email because you indicated you were interested in beta programs and new releases of X-Camera. I want to inform you that X-Camera 2.3.1 beta build 2 is available. It contains the following additions: Added a view / camera axis calibration menu item to compensate for spring loaded joysticks that are not at a perfect zero position when centered. Also added an ability to adjust the view / camera axis null zone as the final step in the calibration process. Fix a bug where X-Camera was not restoring the default field of view when you selected an X-Plane specific view and the currently select X-Camera camera was using a custom field of view setting. If you run into any problems please don't hesitate to contact me at: Support@StickandRudderStudios.com There are two areas I would like to get some user testing on before I create an official release of 2.3.1. First, I made a lot of changes to the code that allows a koystick to be used for camera movement input. If you are using that feature I would appreciate your feedback on any problems. The other area is the addition of a smoothing option for Head Tracking. This option applies smoothing to head tracking inputs such as TrackIR, LinuxTrack, and SimHat. The smoothing was added due to fact that X-Plane 11 still has some minor stuttering that can impact head tracking if you move your head quickly. The smoothing option can help this problem. If you have any head tracking solutions please give this option a try and let me know if you run into any problems. Please do not share the beta release or your license key with other people. If you have a friend that wants to be part of the beta program please have them contact me directly.
