  1. The McDonnell 119/220 was a business jet produced by the McDonnell Aircraft in the mid-1950s. It had a configuration that was unique by bizjet standards, with four jet engines mounted in individual pods underneath a low wing; it could accommodate ten passengers in a luxury executive configuration but could carry as many as 26. heres one some dude is making for fsx p3d...check link.. 2. I know we have the Maddog, but I have been emailing these guys to do a P3D variant of this plane. For a long time they weren't interested, so it was a surprise when they suddenly announced the v4 compatibility on Facebook. This is a study level airplane with failure simulations. The Super 80 Classic, Super 80 Professional and DC-9 Classic are now coming to Prepar3D! We are currently in beta testing. Release expected soon. It's been a while since I last posted on the website. I appologise for that. During the last few months we've been busy preparing all our aircraft for Prepar3d version 4. We are currently beta testing the aircraft. We have just about completed testing of the DC-9 Classic and Super 80 Pro. Next up is the Super 80 Classic. Unfortunately, I don't have an exact release date for you other than "soon". The P3D versions of our aircraft will be almost the same as the old FSX versions. With the exception of the DC-9 Classic Flight Center which has been implemented in the Super 80 Classic and Super 80 Pro as well, there are no major upgrades or modifications to the aircraft or cockpits. The focus is on bringing the aircraft to P3D. The P3D versions of the Super 80 Classic, Super 80 Pro and DC-9 Classic will be sold as separate products from the FSX versions. Pricing and possible discounts for existing customers has not been finalized yet. 3. Orbx Triengen and Luzern-Beromünster Coming Soon Over on the Orbx forums, it was announced that the next airport in the Orbx lineup will be LSPN Triengen and LSZO Luzern-Beromunster for FSX and P3D! The product itself will contain both airfields in typical Orbx quality.. Key features include a scenic landscape location, realistic HD textures, 30cm coverage around the airport, Orbx Flow technology, detailed visual charts, and so much more. A full feature list can be found at the bottom of this article. Typical with Orbx, this announcement came with a huge amount of previews. I’ll attach the first 20 below, and those who want to view the full set can do so in the Orbx announcement here. The two airports were said to be coming soon, with a price already set at $32.95 AUD, so expect a release to be in the near future! 10. Hi all, it seems that David Rosenfeld is working on an scenery update for LLBG Ben Gurion, Israel : 22 Jun 2017 : "I'm working on LLBG new scenery. ", David Rosenfeld said on fsdeveloper.com The new version is far from complete because Mr. Rosenfeld only made early developments in summer 2017 as shown on the pictures posted on fsdeveloper.com. This is not an annoucement or a preview. In this topic Mr. Rosenfeld only requested help for some terrain/mesh development in P4D v4. I was able to catch that information while I was looking for something else on fsdevelopper.com. In 2011, David Rosenfeld was the author of Ben Gurion Airport V2 FSX This 2011 scenery can be found here : https://fsaddonshop.com/products/ben-gurion-airport-v2-fsx But the airport evolved since 2011, with a new satellite added to the main terminal and the runway 21 expansion opened in May 2014. Also a new control tower was built. As a side note, a few years ago I made an updated afcad with the new runway 21. It is a temporary workaround to wait for the updated David Rosenfeld scenery. 14. Matt Davies, the popular streamer and creator of ProjectFly and SimTweaks, released a statement earlier today about the upcoming ProjectFly v3 release. You may be thinking: Wait, wasn’t that supposed to come out last year? Well, yes. But the ProjectFly team has been working tirelessly to completely rewrite the entire application. This will make it much better than it ever was. As Matt stated, “this update is an entirely new rewrite of well, everything, it’s going to take some effort on our part to make the transition as smooth and effortless as possible for you”. What is ProjectFly? If you haven’t heard of ProjectFly yet, it’s basically a community that’s sort of like a virtual airline, where you can fly any aircraft you want and log your flight. You can then see your flights and track the progress of other flights on their radar. Go ahead and take a look at their website here to find out more! v3 Open Beta In order to iron out any last minute bugs and get the application pushed out, the ProjectFly team will release v3 as an open beta. This release is right around the corner, so we can expect it very soon. The beta period is expected to last about a week, and then v3 will be pushed to the public. Another thing to be excited about is a group flight on launch of v3. Everyone is welcome to join in, and Matt will release more details later. Changelog Enough talk about how good ProjectFly v3 is supposed to be! Let’s see what exactly has changed: A full rewrite of every single logic from the ground up – the app will be v3.0 All in one system Will work on any PC or tablet. It will have limited functionality on a phone Will be cross-compatible – available to Windows, MacOS & Linux users The bridge that connects the sim to the app will only be available if you’re using the desktop app (you can still view everything via your web browser though) Optimized to work on all resolutions Automatically connects to Flight Sim – no more running 3rd party apps to start your flight Messenger System (for chatting with friends & also integrated with the support ticket system) Fully functioning dispatcher using Real World Technology, with the ability to also use SimBrief (and also the ability to do everything yourself if you’re that way inclined) No longer reliant on FSUIPC/XUIPC – the bridge is now completely native to the sim (FSX/P3D/X-Plane with more planned simulators to follow) Find Out More LINK TO SOURCE: https://www.airdailyx.net/article/projectfly-v3-numbers/

  18. Hi all, Just read this on FSElite. It's called Rotate and it would be an alternative, they claim, to VATSIM. I'm not too sure if I'm a fan of the whole idea behind being also a FSPassengers/Flight Tracker but the idea to improve VATSIM is there. It must not be forgotten that, although VATSIM has its defects, it also uses highly detailed scopes that are very very close from reality. I was fortunate enough to visit Montreal apron, tower, as well as the installation where Montreal Centre is in real life and I've also seen and used the scope used in VATSIM for the Montreal FIR and it's almost identical. The visual that Rotate has seems too candy and far-fetched to be close to reality. What do you guys think? Yay or nay? 19. Flight Sim Labs have today made the major announcement that their famous Concorde X aircraft will be coming to P3D V4! In a post to their Facebook page they wrote: “As you are all well aware by now, our A320-X is available for Prepar3D V4, we’re working on the A320-X SP1 release for FSX and Prepar3D v3 and the rest of the A32X fleet is in the pipeline to be released in the coming months. We had promised that when that time came, we would take a closer look to the possibility of creating a new Concorde title, specifically designed for Prepar3D v4. Our existing Concorde-X title, developed in 2008 and released in 2010 was a huge success: It brought the thrill and excitement of Concorde to a desktop simulation and even today, almost 15 years after the last Concorde flight, the interest in Concorde remains very clear. Our Flight Sim Labs developer team feels there might still exist one more opportunity to see this aircraft take to the virtual skies in Prepar3D v4 – with the resources we have been acquiring since the days of the Altitude Concorde for FS9 back in 2002 up to today, we believe we are the single company uniquely fitted to undertake this quite significant task one last time, on the most recent flight simulation platform: Prepar3D v4. We feel that in order for the Concorde to be done justice with the exciting new features available today, we would need to see the following new and improved facilities included in this new version: New Virtual Cockpit New cockpit model built with the Prepar3D V4 SDK New high-resolution textures Complete 3D engineers station Both British Airways and Air France variants Full dynamic light integration with FSLSpotlights v2 Improved external texturing – using techniques developed for the A32X Series All new high-resolution sound set using our new sound infrastructure developed for the A32X Series including cockpit, cabin and external sound sets, complete with sonic boom New special effects – including our spectacular lighting effects in adverse weather conditions and fog True Dynamic Lighting – a system developed for the A32X Series that varies the intensity of the light depending on environmental conditions and time of day (or night). Cabin PA sound sets for both British Airways and Air France Concorde Weather Radar integrated with Active Sky Utilization of our Jet Engine Simulation program to simulate the Olympus 593’s more accurately in every phase of flight – developed for the A32X Series The purpose of this post is to gauge how much interest there would be in a new Concorde title for Prepar3D v4, as we estimate the price of this new version to be around $100 USD. If you’d like to see a new Concorde in Prepar3D v4 – most likely the last Concorde project of its kind – please vote: Send an email to “wantconcorde@flightsimlabs.com” Subject: “I will buy the Concorde on P3D v4!” Add your full name and age, telling us that that you will support this effort. We reiterate: This project cannot and will not happen without your help. This is possibly the last time a Concorde will ever be developed at this fidelity level and caliber for any simulator platform – if you wish to keep the dream alive, tell us! As always, thank you very much for your continued support in Flight Sim Labs!” LINK TO SOURCE: https://pcflight.net/fslabs-concorde-x-coming-p3d-v4/

  21. Some rather big announcements have surfaced on the Orbx forums over the past few hours. We were tipped off by a good friend that John Venema has confirmed that Orbx are actively developing the Netherlands as an upcoming FTX region. It was confirmed that this will use completely new technology for an FTX region Completely new tech for an FTX region and that we will be seeing an official announcement and previews soon. The Netherlands would join the likes of Germany North and South and of course the North American ones too. John didn’t stop there. He went on to also confirm that Orbx will be going back to where it all started and are actively developing Australia V2 and will be released next year. It is a paid upgrade, but customers who have purchased before will receive a big discount. It will use the new technology, include new textures and vector data and every airport will be upgraded. He also said there is a possibility of some photoreal scenery for the Great Barrier Reef. Furthermore, he confirmed that they are working on a ‘major Australian airport’ along with CityScape. The CityScape project will be out before Christmas, with the airport following on in the New Year. Last but not least, he confirmed that support for AeroFlyFS2 will continue as both Orbx and IPACS are working on bringing Pacific North West to the sim. We’ll continue to monitor the Orbx forums for any further information that may come from the forum thread.
