  1. The Airport Guys 0VG Lee County Released Lee County (0VG) from The Airport Guys has been released. Lee County airport (0VG) is located just outside Jonesville, Virginia which is nestled in the South Western corner of the state of Virginia. Statistics from 2012 show nearly 6000 aircraft passing through the small airport. Being sized the way it is, it is a general aviation airport which means the majority of aircraft that pass through here are single or twin engine propeller driven aircraft. Small jets and helicopters also tend to pass through the airport but with a runway of only 5000 feet (1524 metres) it makes it a challenge to make any large private jets, such as a Gulfstream to land or take off at this airport. 2. Sikorsky Firehawk Helicopter Fights Flames in Los Angeles County, California California’s 2017 wildfire season proved the most destructive on record, when nearly 9,000 wildfires burned 1.2 million acres. The LA County Fire Department fights those fires with the Sikorsky S-70 Firehawk, a variant of the UH-60 Black Hawk. The department has flown the Firehawk since the year 2000 and recently added two S-70i helicopters to its fleet of three S-70As. At the Heli-Expo show, battalion chief Pat Sprengel and senior pilot Mike Sagely explained the capabilities of this multi-role machine. 3. Stairport Sceneries have been kind enough to drop some exclusive screenshots of their upcoming KASE Aspen-Pitkin County scenery into my inbox, which I gladly pass on to you! No official ETA for the release is available just yet but seems we are getting closer. The developer will be posting some more screenshots on their Facebook page within the next few days which basically means they got something to show! Stay tuned, I have seen this scenery already in its current beta form and it’s already a beautiful representation of a challenging airport. Definitely worth waiting for! 4. Stairport Sceneries, critically acclaimed for their Svalbard4XPlane scenery which was developed in cooperation with Maps2XPlane (see our review of this masterpiece here), announced a much-needed destination today! This destination is KASE Aspen–Pitkin County Airport. Not a lot more I can tell you now, unfortunately. What I can tell is that I am a beta tester of this scenery and although it certainly does need more polishing it looks good already (as you can see on the screenshots yourself). Expect more information soon. For now, enjoy these screenshots! LINK TO SOURCE: https://flightdeckx.com/

  6. When Iain says “final shots”, you know that release is right around the corner. This must mean that release of Orbx’s latest Aerofly FS 2 entry is going to ready very soon. If you don’t know, the next release will be Eagle County Regional Airport, by Jarrad Marshall. The shots below represent what will most likely be the final product, giving you insight into the amount of detail Aerofly FS 2 will allow developers to cram in. We anticipate release will happen in the next day or so, and when it’s available, we shall let you know. For now, check out the Orbx forums for continued updates.
