With the release of X-Plane 11.30 now firmly in the hands of simmers across the world (along with the recently released 11.31 version), attention will start to turn on what the future holds for Laminar Research and X-Plane. Announced on Facebook, Laminar Research will take to YouTube to host their next Developer Livestream to discuss the roadmap and what the community can expect. Austin, Ben and more will be taking to YouTube on Saturday February 9th 2019 at 11am ET to talk everything X-Plane and probably answer a bunch of X-Plane related questions also. You can keep up to date via the Facebook event page, or subscribe to their YouTube page to stay notified when they go live. What are you hoping is announced during the stream? JustSim Announce Malta Airport Developers JustSim announced that work has finished on creating Malta Airport (LMML) for Prepar3D. The Maltese airport servers a range of airlines across the world and offers maintenance for multiple large airlines. Airlines such as easyJet, Ryanair, Emirates and of course Air Malta all serve the Maltese airport, with a big focus on connecting flights in Europe. Although no change log was provided in the post, the 30+ screenshots indicate that attention has been given to the whole airport with high definition textures and modelling, nearby office and hotel buildings have been modeled as well as dynamic lighting. Bill Womack, who needs no introduction, has put up an offer you may not be able to refuse - if you're interested in learning professional scenery development and make a pretty penny in the future. All you need to know is that if you do get accepted, you'll be tutored by one of the biggest names in flight simulation. Here's a little teaser (click on the link below for the full write-up): Back in the day, many trades had a tradition of apprenticeship. Those with a desire to learn a skill were paired with experienced craftspeople. The apprentice got to learn a trade first-hand, and the person they were apprenticed to got an eager helper to speed along projects in return. For the right kind of learner, it was an ideal system. These days, apprenticeships are rare, but I got to thinking recently about how much I’d like to have a personally-trained assistant or three who would trade their work for learning the ins and outs of scenery design first-hand. Why not give it a go? SOURCE INFO DEVELOPER POST LINK : https://www.facebook.com/notes/iblueyonder/scenery-apprentice-wanted/2019098258149507/ NEWS SITE ARTICLE LINK :
A2A – The Latest Developer to Comment on FlightSimStore The tragic situation for customers who continue to use FlightSimStore appears to be getting worse. Aircraft developer A2A has issued a statement urging their customers to not use FlightSimStore any longer. Much like the other developers who sell their products through FSS, they have completely lost contact with the store owners. The news comes from Scott at A2A via the forums. At the moment, A2A products are still on sale via the store, but by the sounds of it, downloads are not reaching customers. However, A2A have provided those effected with a solution. You will need to head to the forums and PM Lewis. Make sure you let them see any proof of purchase and the team will be more than happy to help you. A2A are also encouraging members of the community to file a complaint to firstname.lastname@example.org. This is the hosting company FlightSimStore are using. It’s hoped that the more emails and complaints they receive, the quicker this situation can be resolved. A2A are the latest in a long line of developers who have informed their customers of persistent issues with The FlightSimStore. Many developers have accused the company of not paying for products sold and numerous customers are not receiving products. Such developers include MilViz, Majestic and more. FSElite have contacted the team at FlightSimStore multiple times with no response. Some of our team members also tried to contact them through Facebook with many comments being deleted and censored – proving someone is still active within the store community. DESCENT2VIEW LGHI CHIOS DEVELOPER UPDATE February 16, 2018 by Ollie Rumors of an imminent release of Descent2View’s LGHI Chios are currently spreading around. I wanted to learn more so I contacted developer Ilias who kindly gave me some insight. According to him, the release is not exactly imminent so any such news are incorrect. Instead the “release will be delayed a bit more (can’t be exact about the date) but we just want to provide a great quality product” as Ilias said. The team is currently doing some tweaking and optimizations, along with some re-texturing. See what Ilias said: “…we’re solving some problems we had with scale of some buildings, doing some significant re-texturing as well and placing all objects from the beginning so we can have better arrangement in the folders. That’s why the airport looks a bit empty in the screens, right now.” SOURCE INFO DEVELOPER POST LINK : https://www.facebook.com/flightdeckx/ NEWS SITE ARTICLE LINK : https://flightdeckx.com/introducing-descent2view-lghi-chios-announced/
