  1. Flight1 Updates FS Effects (FS Stall Effects) Over on their Facebook page, Flight One Software has announced that an update to their FS Effects utility has been released. This update also brings a name revision, FS Effects was previously named FS Stall Effects. FS Effects is a unique and highly-configurable add-on utility for FSX/SE and Prepar3D v3-4 which realistically enhances your virtual flight experience. The add-on utility has received an update to version 1.02 which adds more controls to tweak and edit your aircraft’s flight characteristics. This update introduces throttle response tweaking, engine start-up time tweaking and a battery life extension which allows you to increase the length of time your aircrafts’ battery will last for before the engine gets to juice it up which is unrealistic for some aircraft. The interface allows you to select an aircraft from your library and make adjustments to the characteristics listed at the end of this article. 2. Over on the x-plane.org website (or just the 'ORG' as many of you cool kids call it), the extremely talented developer of the Zibo 737NG Mod for XP11 has just posted a little test video where he's testing how his 3D rain effects play on the windshield of the aircraft. They are nothing short of stunning! I want this in P3D..NOW! Take a look: https://drive.google.com/open?id=16n6cyJrvu62ylcOeMkFazLakQV12bcWU It is a WIP so treat it as such and excuse any glaring errors with the physics or how the effect performs in general. Now, let's react! 3. MilViz Preview T310R Rain Effects In X-Plane 11 Announced back in June at FSExpo, word of the MilViz T310 for X-Plane has been sparse, until now. Over on their Facebook page, MilViz has posted a preview featuring windshield rain effects in their upcoming aircraft for X-Plane 11. We suspect a release is on the horizon as MilViz have now further introduced us to the T310R by publishing its store page with a release of the paint kit, an extensive feature list (subject to change) and many new previews. The T310R features RealityXP GTN 650/750 compatibility, FMOD sounds, PBR materials, realistic flight dynamics, windshield rain/ice effects and more which you can view on the store page. https://fselite.net/news/milviz-preview-t310r-rain-effects-in-x-plane-11/

  5. As Hurricane Irma diminished to a tropical storm this morning, many in Florida are no doubt breathing a sigh of relief. But the storm did have a strong impact on general aviation, particularly among airports and FBOs on the western side of the state. With millions left without power, along with localized flooding and curfews in some cities hindering the arrival of staffers, the business aviation industry was groggily rising back to its feet as of Monday morning.
