  1. Freeware Ovda Airport (LLOV) Released for Prepar3D v4 A new developer to the scene, ItaySim Design has released their first freeware airport to the community, Ovda Airport (LLOV) for Prepar3D v4. Ovda Airport is a military air base and civilian airport located in the Uvda region of southern Israel. You’ll only find Seasonal and charter flights with common airlines in and out of Ovda Airport to Switzerland, Germany, Britain, Russia and more locations scattered throughout Europe and Asia. ItaySim Designs’ rendition of Ovda Airport features custom ground polygons, animated apron stairs, vegetation surrounding the main terminal, small details placed around the airport and more. It also features a configuration tool which is not common amongst available freeware add-ons. You can grab a hold of Itay Designs’ Ovda Airport (LLOV) for free at their website here. It is compatible with only Prepar3D v4. SOURCE INFO https://itaysimdesign.weebly.com/freeware.html https://fselite.net/news/freeware-ovda-airport-llov-released-for-prepar3d-v4/
  2. Live Flight Data Channels LiveTraffic can read from the following sources, called channels: ADS-B Exchange, (see usage Terms & Conditions) both online live data and historical files (see section 'Historical Data' here, especially the requirements!) OpenSky Network, (see usage Terms & Conditions) using its REST API LiveTraffic can even read several channels at the same time. Warnings apply, see Basic Settings. Display of Aircraft Well, yea...that's what it's all about: Aircraft 3D model as per installed CSL libraries. LiveTraffic uses the very same library (xplanemp) as XSquawkBox and X-IvAp do. Expect pretty similar behaviour. Aircraft labels (the yellow text), content configurable Basic flight modelling: LiveTraffic tries to mimic those aircraft movements, which are not transported by the flight data: Rotate, Pitch, Flare Turns (Roll yet to come, currently wings stay level) Acceleration, Deceleration Gear and Flap movement Lights (Beacon, Navigation, Landing) Landing Simulation in case no more flight data available during approach, so that the aircrafts continues its descend down to the ground, rolls out, stops, and only then vanishes. LiveTraffic is not into taxiing simulation, though... Aircraft and Flight Information Display LiveTraffic can show aircraft information and updated dynamic flight data (like position, speed, altitude and so on) about the aircrafts as shown in X-Plane (which supposingly is very close to reality minus buffering period, but LiveTraffic certainly needs to interpolate between available data points). A/C Info Window Shows aircraft info for one or more aircrafts right within X-Plane. Aircrafts selectable by transponder code, registration, call sign, flight number, and index within LiveTraffic, or Auto-selecting the closest aircraft in viewing direction. Multiple a/c info windows can be opened in parallel. Aircraft Information Window /using-lt/aircraft-information-window Data Refs LiveTraffic makes good use of X-Plane's data ref feature. Historically, this was just meant to ease my development life as I could use the DataRefEditor plugin to change the configuration and read aircrafts' status. Thus, it became the backbone of the configuration object in LiveTraffic and remains available to the outside world. DataRefs /reference/datarefs TCAS TCAS might or might not work. The "TCAS hack" of xplanemp requires AI aircrafts to be set up, see installation. Here's a list of collected feedback...mostly positive actually 🙂. 3. Freeware Sound Pack Released for Captain Sim 757 III Over at the Captain Sim 757 Facebook group, a generous person named Alex Tavares has released his freeware 757 CS Sound Project for the Captain Sim 757 III. 757 CS Sound Project is a completely free, semi-complete overhaul/replacement for the Captain Sim 757 III’s default non-engine sounds inside and out. From the video linked above, you notice quite a major difference in quality compared to the add-on’s default sound set leaving you with a more overall immersive experience from start to finish. As mentioned above, this is a non-engine sound replacement. Amongst some of the default sounds replaced is the battery power sound, hydraulic sound, fuel pump sound, APU startup/shutdown sound and more which can be listened to at the timestamps listed in the video’s description. When installing ensure you follow and read through the included Instructions.txt as it is an installation process that may be tricky for some and requires you to change a couple of config files. If you need support or have a bug to report, you can email Alex here (atav2004@gmail.com). You can grab a hold of the 757 CS Sound Project for free over at this Google Drive link. It is compatible with the Captain Sim 757 III for both FSX and Prepar3D v3 & 4. 8. Colsimmers Release Santa Marta (Freeware) Colsimmers, a new developer is making a name for themselves by developing an incredible scenery for free! Santa Marta (SKSM) or Simón Bolívar Airport is now available for Prepar3d versions 3 and 4. The airport is located 18 kilometres (11 miles) from Ciénaga and serves only domestic flights in Columbia. 20. I am excited to share this little Scottish airport with you. I received an email upon it's release and decided to give it a go. I am pleased to say the airport is very nice for a freeware airport. Two asphalt runways and two grass strips. Lots of static aircraft (mostly gliders as this airport is home to the Deeside Gliding Club. I was first introduced to the ICON A5 when Microsoft introduced Microsoft Flight after having discontinuing support for Flight Simulator X. I found it a versatile little plane that is quite fun to fly. I'm sure you will feel the same way. Links to both, the scenery and the A5 are below. Both are freeware and work perfectly in P3Dv4. 24. The long awaited 737 Ultimate project is nearing release. Press and painters will receive an early access release this saturday. In case you haven't heard of this project before: The 737 Ultimate project is another mod for X-Plane 11's default 737, like the quite excellent Zibo mod and FMOD. While Zibo mod adds a detailed systems simulation, FMOD adds better sounds and the 737 Ultimate will add the -700 and -900 variants among other neat things. The good news is that you won't have to choose between these mods. The 737 Ultimate will be fully compatible with the existing Zibo mod and FMOD. In fact, both Zibo and AudioBirdXP are on the development team. So what does the 737 Ultimate project bring to the table? Ground equipment suite Adjustable scimitar 3d HUD 3d passengers Chart system Connection with better pushback plugin Connection with default pushback Custom outside textures Custom cockpit textures ( maybe in later release) Full zibomod compatibility On launch -700 -800 -900 we will add more variants after and make the tablet 3d Switchable outside led lights Control of cabin brightness and color lights Exciting times ahead!
