Greetings fellow flight simmers, I feel that it's about time to announce a special project that I'm working on that i'm sure will please the masses. How many of you would like to see some life in Aerofly? Well, the time has come (or just about has come) It's important for everyone to understand that this is not an official IPACS project or feature at this time but down the road it very much can be. For this feature to be made internal it will still need more work to make it fully 'deployable' to make it easy for us to add this everywhere. But for now I will only focus on the South Florida DLC. I may add this to other DLC's following but please don't hold me to it. So, let's get down to it, I will be releasing a demo shortly that will add road and sea traffic, plus a couple of other Easter eggs that you will have to just find yourself A lot of detail has gone into this, including some highly detailed vehicles that match the real life counterparts. My focus right now is for proof of concept, and the proof is that it is pretty amazing and i'm sure everyone will agree. I feel that this project is a long time coming and when you see it in action you too will agree that it brings Aerofly to the next level of realism. Please give me a little bit more time with this as i'm still working out some minor items, and the Miami area is a bit busy so I want to try to fully capture that in this project. For now, until I release the demo for all of you to enjoy, here are some sneak peeks (static ones but you get the idea). EU Netherlands TrueEarth for Aerofly FS 2 Orbx has said time and time again that 2018 is the year where all the research and development will start to come to fruition. Part of that process was releasing their new technology which has been named TrueEarth. The first in a long line of TrueEarth products is Netherlands. We reviewed it a few weeks back for P3Dv4, but today, Orbx wanted to preview the technology but this time in Aerofly FS 2. If you don’t know what TrueEarth technology is, it’s a blend of photoreal terrain and more traditional scenery development. Meaning that buildings, vegetation and points of interest match up perfectly to the photo ground textures. This Add-On for the Aerofly FS 2 flight simulator contains over 30 of the most important and visually appealing airports in Switzerland, such as Zurich, Grenchen, Samedan and Birrfeld. Furthermore high resolution aerial photography with a resolution of up to 1 meter is included. As a special treat this Add-On also contains the idyllic airport Speck-Fehraltorf (ICAO-Code LSZK). This airfield is located east of Zurich in the CTR Dübendorf and is often referred to as “die Speck” by the locals. It is run by the “Verein/Flugsportgruppe Züricher Oberland” FGZO. This grass airfield (equipped with Perfo-plates), which is located near the Pfäffiker-lake, sees especially high traffic on sunny days in spring and summer. The airport is also a popular day excursion destination for bikers or other trippers who would like to visit the restaurant 'Im Speck or enjoy a snack on the big visitors terrace (with playground and a clear view of the airfield). A very special thanks goes out to the crew of the FGZO: Fabi Riesen, Ines Widmer, Daniel Stäubli, Christoph Amman, Tino Seitz, who helped us greatly in implementing the airport. Gents, We had hoped to release the 747 this week, but we're still waiting on the US female FO voice set to come in. Other than that, she's basically good to go! So please wait a few more days. I know you have all been waiting for a long time, but we're almost there. If you loved NGX Reboot, you'll love the 747! Manuals will be released on released day. But if you own NGX Reboot, and most of you do, then the learning curve will be pretty low. The 747 uses the same user interface system, key assignments. Cheers, LINK TO SOURCE: https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/518908-1-september-2017-weekend-update/
