VSkyLabs Releases Revolution Mini-500 Helicopter By: Sam Clark January 20, 2019 VSkyLabs, experimental aircraft experts, have released their latest project for X-Plane 11.30. The Revolution Mini-500 is an American single-seater chopper and is unique in that the owner must construct the aircraft from a kit-set before flying it. This is VSkyLabs' second successive helicopter release following the Guimbal Cabri G2 in September. The new Mini-500 utilizes X-Plane 11.30's experimental flight model and features highly realistic flight dynamics as a result. VSkyLabs have provided a feature list for the helicopter, which you can see here: VSKYLABS 'Test-Pilot' Project. Highly defined flight dynamics model of the Revolution Mini-500. Built around the powerful, native X-Plane 11.30+ 'Experimental Flight Model' environment (must be selected in the General settings window in X-Plane 11). Fully functional VR (Virtual Reality) compatibility. Multi-Layer FMOD sound pack. Unique aspects of the Mini-500 helicopter are simulated and are part of the flying experience by definition: Manual engine/rotor RPM management, low rotor-inertia aspects, in-flight nose tuck during engine-stop, rotor RPM management, retreating blade stall condition (Vne), typical Mast bumping, typical autorotation capability and more. The VSKYLABS Test-Pilot: Mini-500 is designed as if it was a real kit-built helicopter, awaiting for it's first test-flight. Was it built exactly as instructed? Will it fly as expected? wow there is only one way to find out! You will have to get to know it step by step...or you might get yourself into serious trouble when mistreating it. Mastering the VSKYLABS Mini-500 will sure make you a better helicopter pilot! The original pilot's manual was one of the core-materials during development of this project, and the VSKYLABS Mini-500 pilot's manual is built based on it. The project is under constant development. Highly responsive VSKYLABS support forums. You can purchase the VSkyLabs Test Pilot: Mini-500 for $26.50 on the X-Plane.org store. It's nice to have a chopper, but it's even better with helipads : Changelog there SOURCE INFO DEVELOPER POST LINK : https://www.aerofly.com/community/forum/index.php?thread/13736-aerofly-fs2-robinson-r22-helicopter-releasing-today-on-steam/ NEWS SITE ARTICLE LINK : https://steamcommunity.com/games/434030/announcements/detail/1702820767454589668
The Guimbal Cabri G2 is a light two-seater, french piston engine helicopter. VSKYLABS made a very detailed recreation of the aircraft, with extensive use of all XP11 technologies for rendering (PBR, reflexions etc) as it has been fully created for XP11. Flight model also takes advantages of a fully XP11 development (expect no VRS simulation -Vortex Ring State - though, XP11 doesn't provide that effect fully fonctionnal yet...). The model is fully Vr compatible without any addon, with AviTab compatibility. Some pics : And a video I found on YT (beware loud music) : You can pick this one for 29$ SOURCE INFO WEB SITE LINK : https://www.vskylabs.com/2018/06/the-vskylabs-guimbal-cabri-g2-project.html

The LA County Fire Department fights those fires with the Sikorsky S-70 Firehawk, a variant of the UH-60 Black Hawk. The department has flown the Firehawk since the year 2000 and recently added two S-70i helicopters to its fleet of three S-70As. At the Heli-Expo show, battalion chief Pat Sprengel and senior pilot Mike Sagely explained the capabilities of this multi-role machine. Bell’s 525 Relentless Fly-by-wire Helicopter Program Moves Toward Certification – AINtv Since the 525 Relentless returned to the air in July 2017 after the fatal crash of flight test vehicle 1 a year before, Bell has flown both of its remaining super-medium twins, FTV2 and 3, nearly an additional 200 flight-test hours. The two aircraft have accumulated approximately 290 hours in total between them. FTV4 is scheduled to make its maiden flight in the fourth quarter. At the Heli-Expo show in Las Vegas, Bell showed its 525 mockup with a full VIP interior, complete with Bristow Helicopters livery, even though the oil-and-gas and search-and-rescue operator hasn’t been officially revealed as a customer, as have any other customers. The company hasn’t set a formal price for the 525, but it expects to complete certification flight testing by the end of 2018. TomcatUK posted a topic in ON APPROACH - TopicsUpdate from DCS about v2.5 bug fixes and a helicopter sale... = DCS World 2.5 Update Since last week's newsletter, the team continues to address items discovered during the Open Beta test period. Items such as fog discoloration, night lighting, multiplayer performance, load times, and others are all being addressed for the release version. It is very important that any changes made for the DCS World 2.5 release version maintain or improve game performance of the 2.5 Open Beta. Since the DCS World 2.5 Open Beta release, we have released three Hot Fixes. You can read their change logs on the DCS forum. Once we feel that all the significant issues of the 2.5 Open Beta have been resolved, we will then release the DCS World 2.5 installer and update to DCS World 2.5. DCS World Helicopter 30% Off Sale Continues Our DCS World helicopter sale will end on 19 February 2018 at 0900. One of the biggest benefits of DCS World 2.5 is that it's a much better environment to fly helicopters. The higher-resolution terrain elevation mesh, higher resolution terrain and object textures, much improved trees, huge forests, and trees that now have collision / block line of sight for weapons, all create a much more engaging and beautiful environment to fly in.
