JetStream Designs has announced that they will be developing Paris Orly; Paris’ second largest airport and a popular destination for low-cost carriers such as Transavia France and Corsair as well as carriers such as Air France and British Airways. This comes as a very welcome and exciting development knowing the excellent quality which comes from JetStream Designs in all their sceneries. From the shots already showed off, the scenery looks to be taking shape and is looking very impressive. Paris Orly was last developed in 2010 by Aerosoft. After eight years their scenery is no longer compatible with the latest installments of P3D and is showing its age which makes this news even better. Even better is that this scenery is set to be released in 2018 meaning that we will soon all be able to fly into the large French hub once again. Thanks to Thomas for sending us some high res shots of the scenery for you guys to enjoy. To get a sense of their quality why not check out our reviews on their Nantes scenery? Departure out of Seattle was rainy and we needed anti-ice through the climb. Once on top, Vancouver Center was online, and at 16,000 we were just above the cloud deck. As we all know, PMDG has been making their old Jetstream 41 compatible with P3D v4. Now, when i say old, I mean old. This thing hasn’t been updated since the ol’ FSX days. But now, PMDG has ported it over to P3D v4, allowing us to enjoy the turboprop bliss. The Previews A beta tester going by the forum name of “lasnubes” on the AVSIM forums has been posting some previews of the JS41. And boy, they look good. It’s been a while since we had a good turboprop. In the flight sim world, good quality turboprops are really hard to come by. Off the top of my head I can only think of two: Majestic Q400 and PMDG DC-6. There are others, yes, but none comparing to those two offerings. Hopefully, after the JS41, more will follow suit! Let’s not delay any longer though! Here are the screenshots with captions! Most were taken on a short flight between Seattle and Ketchikan.
