eaim1973 posted a topic in ON APPROACH - TopicsMK-Studios released a fantastic rendition of Lisbon only a few weeks ago and have actively updated the airport to a higher standard since. We can exclusively reveal today that version 1.2 is in the works and addresses some of the feedback sent to the developer. Namely ground satellite imagery improvements and also huge improvements to the auto-gen. The previews below showcase the improvements which will be found in the 1.2 update (which will be free for all users). Lisbon continues to be a popular airport for simmers so it’s fantastic to see MK-Studios continue to develop and maintain the airport even post-release. FlyingJock posted a topic in ON APPROACH - TopicsMK-Studios confirmed last week that Lisbon would be launching on September 14th. In preparation for the release of the scenery, Video partners AviationLads were tasked with creating the final launch trailer. The 2 and a half minute video showcases the new features that will come packaged with the airport, along with some of the cool special effects new and included 3D modeled buildings. Finally, after a week of speculation, we can confirm that MK-Studios will be tackling on the Irish beast: Dublin Airport. The Irish airport is home to many airlines and offers a huge route range for simmers in Europe. We’ll be keeping an eye on details. MK-Studios Release New Lisbon Previews MK-Studios has given us more photos of their upcoming scenery, Lisbon, over on their Facebook page. These shots show off some of the texturing and gpoly work that has been done by MK-Studios. Based on the shots given, the scenery looks to have very high-quality textures. They have also gone with the approach of the wear and tear look as well based on the tire marks, cracks, and rubber smears on the runways and taxiways. Two of the shots in the post were of the highly detailed Ponte 25 de Abril and the Vasco da Gama bridges, showing how much effort has gone into this product. Canuckshaw posted a topic in ON APPROACH - TopicsLISBON, Portugal - A light plane made an emergency landing on a packed beach near Lisbon on Wednesday afternoon, killing a 56-year-old man and an 8-year-old girl who were sunbathing, authorities said. Hundreds of sunbathers were on the popular beach at Caparica, 30 kilometres (20 miles) south of Lisbon, and witnesses said some sunbathers ran into the sea to avoid the plane. The National Maritime Authority said the man and girl died on the beach. Officials said they were not aware of any injured. The small aircraft, reportedly a Cessna, carrying two people appeared to be in difficulty and wobbled as it skimmed low over the sunbathers, scattering them and spreading panic on the beach, witnesses said. The plane appeared to have a partly broken left wing, which hung lower than the right wing, Portuguese television pictures showed. Officials said the accident occurred at 4:50 p.m. (1550 GMT). The dead girl was with her parents, who were unhurt, witnesses told local television channels. The plane passed over the dead man's legs as he sunbathed on a towel, they said. No others were reportedly hurt. The bodies lay covered on the sand as police cordoned off the area. The two occupants of the plane were unhurt and were being questioned by police. LINK TO SOURCE:
