  1. Developers RealWorld Scenery has released their third and final part to their Ultimate VFR New York State package. The purpose of the software is to inject photo-real ground textures with accurately placed trees and structures to make a more realistic version of the area within the simulator. The product also contains snow textures during winter and accurately placed and sized night lighting. Furthermore, the default airports in the area covered by the package has been re-worked a little to include better blending to the ground imagery injected by Ultimate VFR New York State. The 16.7GB package works for FSX and Prepar3D 1 -4, but has been designed to work best with the latest version of Prepar3D. No coverage map has been provided, so it’s hard for us to accurately say which areas this package does contain. However, you can see Part 1 and Part 2 on simMarket which has coverage maps. It should be noted that you don’t need both, as they work as separate packages just fine. You can buy Ultimate VFR New York State Part 3 from simMarket for €8.00. 2. maps2xplane has uploaded a new version of Antarctica (Part 1) X-Plane.Org Forum Hi ssimm1958, maps2xplane has uploaded a new version of a file, Antarctica (Part 1) Posted in Scenery Packages (v11,v 10, v9) What's New Revision History v4: January 2019 - significantly extended coverage to W108 and S76 - improved elevation model for Byers Peninsula - most recent coastlines and outlines - re-added bathymetry data - minor bug fixes v3: December 2017 - higher elevation model resolution by equal file size - optimized mosaicing of the elevation model sources - improved elevation model for King George Island - improved elevation model for Deception Island - improved elevation model for Seymour Island - improved elevation model for Signy Island - improved representation of Rothera Point - improved representation of Smith Island - most recent coastlines and outlines - removed bathymetry data v2: August 2016 - added bathymetry data (removed with 1v4) - extended coverage down to -74 degrees - added 5 previously missing tiles - updated textures for glaciers - updated textures for beaches - slightly higher mesh density - fixed continuous beaches - minor bug fixes v1: December 2015 - 1st edition About This File South Orkney Islands and Antarctic Peninsula, Antarctica. Antarctica4XPlane - Part I I am proud to present Part I of my Antarctica Mesh Scenery Antarctica4XPlane. This first part of my mesh scenery covers the South Orkney Islands and the Antarctic Peninsula down to -74 degrees. Many more areas will follow in the future: I recommend you to follow the project's website to stay up to date. I work now 2 1/2 years on this mesh scenery. A lot of the remote areas are hand made due to missing or inaccurate data in the public domain (digital elevation models and outlines for the coastlines). So there are areas where you will discover issues in the mesh, but I am sure, you will nevertheless have a lot of fun. If you like Antarctica4XPlane, then please visit the project's support-site and support the further development. Installation is simple: Unarchive the downloaded file and place the folder Antarctica4XPlane_1v3 into your Custom Scenery directory and add the following line near the bottom (below the research base sceneries) of your scenery_packs.ini: SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Antarctica4XPlane_1v3/ Caution: If you are upgrading from an earlier version of Part I, then delete the directory of the old version before you start your simulator. If you're still using X-Plane 10, then I strongly recommend to switch on "runways follow terrain contours". If you're already using X-Plane 11 then I recommend you my Antarctic Maps because X-Plane's default map doesn't cover the Antarctic Continent. To start your Antarctica Adventure with Antarctica4XPlane I suggest the Research Base Station Sceneriesavailable on the project's website. First Sceneries are already available and hopefully many more will follow. Antarctica4XPlane comes exclusively for X-Plane, for free and personal use only, but without guarantee and warranty. You are not allowed to redistribute this scenery or to use any part of it in your own sceneries. Please contact me, if you have questions regarding the license or if you are interested in a cooperation. HAVE FUN. 5. The previews above showcase the terminal, ground markings and the stunning Moshe Safdie’s Jewel Changi Airport biodome. The screenshots are work in progress, and represent part 1 or 2 of screenshots we have to show you. The scenery is still in development and awaiting on a few new assets before it’s released finally to the public. By our estimates, we think a release in September is looking likely. (Part 2 will come in a week or so once we gather some more previews showcasing a different aspect of the product) SOURCE INFO DEVELOPER POST LINK : http://www.imaginesim.com/future.htm NEWS SITE ARTICLE LINK : https://fselite.net/previews/fselite-exclusive-imaginesim-singapore-wsss-previews-part-1/
