  1. So on the cast yall spoke on what could come from a V5 of Prepar3d. The most sensible thing to me is to update the engine. Having more FPS is going to do what lets be honest. All of the things you mentioned that have been available in the other competitor sims have been available for sometime and now V4.4 has brought those things in and its great. But to go down the path of omg I need more frames isnt necessary when the bulk of users cant sustain over 40fps with good scenery/graphics settings for a solid experience. The base engine is still limited in the way it performs and doing some "tweaks" to say oh look at me 100fps doesnt mean squat if the sliders have to come down to a significant level to do it. As it stands, anyone could feasibly get over 100fps right now but again that requires you to have a monitor with the refresh rate to sustain it which means gasp....monitor upgrades and drop the sliders. Additionally your GPU is going to have to work either harder or not at all to get to that point. It has been said that in the sims 30fps is sufficient and to "some" extent I can agree but ideally I feel that 45-60 fps allows for a more fluid representation of what your seeing without having drastic performance issues. Now unless you are running on say a SSD the load times for scenery/graphic draw can be reduced alot but in the end the engine itself isnt all that great. Rewrite the engine code or get something new but to say OMG we need 100fps isnt worth it at all for this sim or the competitor sims...again, excluding DCS because this type of flying doesnt require it UNLESS your one of the many people out there who want to extend their epeens and showoff. Its not say a shooter game that requires you to sustain 60fps or better to have the great gameplay experience and the flight sims dont require the century mark of FPS to have a great flight experience. So rewrite the engine or get a new one which will allow anyone with more current hardware specs to at a minimum run the sim (Prepar3d) at mid slider to higher settings and have a fluid experience without jaggies, freezing etc as the scenery/graphics load. That to me would be the holy grail for Prepar3d and really make it shine. SOURCE INFO DEVELOPER POST LINK : NEWS SITE ARTICLE LINK :

  4. In this thread we'd like to track all the 3rd party add-ons that are being updated, not new releases! Below are a list of add-ons we know will work in Prepar3D v4. As you find add-ons that are compatible, please don’t hesitate to post in this thread so we can update the growing list of add-ons and Developers that support P3D v4. Fun fact, in v4 your add-ons are kept OUTSIDE of the P3D directory, allowing for swift re-installs in the future and much better curation of your library!   Did you find an add-on that works? Please submit it in a post below!

  7. FSElite has obtained verified documents that suggest that Lockheed Martin are preparing to release Prepar3D V4.4 in Q4 of 2018. Even more exciting is the fact that these leaked documents point to version 4.4 being the first step to enabling Physically Based Rendering (PBR) textures in the simulator. The leaked documentation includes an internal email conversation from an internal Lockheed Martin developer addressing to members of the Lockheed Martin team with details about the upcoming release. The internal email dated August 13th states that “Prepar3D V4.4’s beta is available now”. Whilst the information has not been publicly confirmed by Lockheed Martin at this time, we have received confirmation about the validity of this information from a source familiar with the future of P3D. We first discovered these details when someone posted somewhat privy details in a popular Facebook group. We then took the evidence presented in that group, asked reputable sources within the development community and asked for verification. Further details were then sent to FSElite – all of which were then verified to be accurate. As you can imagine, these people wish to remain anonymous. This is not the first time FSElite reported on upcoming new features for Prepar3D ahead of time. We were the first to inform that version 4 would indeed be 64-bit. Greetings Fellow Simmers This came up when I was going through my Google Now "tracking my activities is paying off I guess" Tutorial by Dino Cattaneo: Aircraft conversion from Prepar3D to X-Plane 11 I always said that with XP11 the migration will start from ESP based platforms to XP11 and if such conversion methods and if available tools of conversion show up, then we are in for some great fun. A2A or PMDG on Xplane 0_0 not sure it will go that far since these add-ons have a lot of logic and systems behind them but hey, we are getting close. cheers boys and gals and let the conversion begins Mr Edson, we are waiting SOURCE INFO DEVELOPER POST LINK : https://indiafoxtecho.blogspot.com/2018/08/how-to-convert-your- aicraft-3dstudio.html NEWS SITE ARTICLE LINK : https://www.flightsim.news/2018/08/tutorial-by-dino-cattaneo-aircraft-conversion-prepar3d-to-x-plane-11/
  10. WX Advantage Radar update for Prepar3D v4.3 - Released DOWNLOAD FREE UPDATE NOW *This update contains fixes for all platforms and is mandatory for ALL users. The WX Advantage Radar has been upgraded for use in Prepar3D v.4.3. The update also contains several performance upgrades across all simulator platforms! The WX Advantage Radar System is a unique, advanced weather radar system that can be used with ANY 3rd-party weather engine, freeware weather engine, as well as the built-in weather of the flight simulator. Compatible with Microsoft’s Flight Simulator X, FSX:Steam Edition and Lockheed Martin Prepar3D. Each license of the WX Advantage Radar allows activation for all three flight simulators! This advanced radar system includes unique cloudscan and precipitation sync features that will dynamically sync precipitation. Never experience precipitation falling outside indicated radar echoes. The radar includes a new wet runway feature. Though there may be radar echoes nearby, the runways near precipitation will appear as if rain had just fallen. High resolution 3D precipitation density map, which takes advantage of video hardware acceleration for greater performance and level of detail. High resolution precipitation cell data based on cloud density and other weather parameters at the location of each cloud. Precise control of ambient precipitation in the region of the aircraft. The system continuously measures four levels of precipitation: green for light precipitation, yellow for moderate, red for heavy, and magenta for severe precipitation and turbulence. Because the system will continuously measure and sync precipitation, you will receive realistic and accurately placed radar echoes that precisely match depicted atmospheric conditions. Turbulence “intelligence” is built-in to isolate potential radar echoes that may contain moderate to severe turbulence. The WX Advantage Radar System includes full TILT functions to analyze the complete scale of storm structures in real-time and accurately represents the effect of radar attenuation when larger more dense cells are in front of other cells – causing a rain shadow effect. An intuitive, simple to use Aircraft Gauge Management Tool is also included! This tool allows the installation, editing, and removal of the 2D weather radar gauge for any default or 3rd-party aircraft within a few simple steps. The Aircraft Gauge Management Tool includes FOUR different types of 2D gauges: Dark and Clean, Dark with Dirt, Light and Clean, Light with Dirt. You may select which version best represents the cockpit you are flying in as well as easily adjust the aspect ratio, size, and location of the radar gauge prior to opening the flight simulator. The WX Advantage Radar supports multiple screens and can be undocked and placed on a second window. Includes a full active transmitter/receiver range up to 160NM. (FSX and Prepar3D does not support ranges greater than 160NM) The WX Advantage Radar includes gain features to help differentiate between weather and ground clutter. The system includes test/diagnostics, WX (general weather), and WX/T (weather/turbulence) modes. For more information and a comprehensive look at the WX Advantage Radar, please visit our website! 18. Since the release of Prepar3D V4.2, people have been keen to upgrade to take advantage of some of the new features and fixes. Of course with any update with a sim comes the risk of a product loosing compatibility. Typically, decimal updates (.X) don’t cause issues with aircraft, but some users are reporting problems with their PMDG products. Today, Robert provided a brief update on the situation. Some users are reporting that either the screen loads black or causes a crash to desktop (CTD). This issue isn’t consistent among all users. As you might imagine, PMDG has access to the beta builds of Prepar3D from Lookheed Martin, which is available to their team to ensure their products work. During testing of V4.2, the developers reported no issues with PMDG products working. However, since the release of the RTM version of 4.2, it is believed that some things have broken since. For those users who have contacted PMDG’s support system has been suggested to start the sim with a default aircraft and change it to their preferred PMDG aircraft afterwards. This appears to solve the issue and the aircraft then behaves normally thereafter. As for what PMDG are doing about it, they’re first identifying where the problem lies. It is either an issue with Lockheed Martin’s Prepar3D 4.2 or with the aircraft itself. If it’s PMDG products, then it’s in their control and they’ll aim to fix it with a timely fix. If it’s to do with V4.2, then it’ll be down to LM to fix. PMDG has assured us that they’ll keep us informed going forward and they’re hoping to have the issue fixed soon. 19. ImagineSim KLGA New York LaGuardia for Prepar3D V4 Previews ImagineSim announced a while back that they were bringing their KLGA New York LaGuardia for Prepar3D up to today’s standards. This meant using new technology to ensure that the performance was still high and the detail was just as high. Today they showcased some brand new previews of the airport update in P3DV4, which highlights some of the improvements you will find. 20. Flight Sim Labs, Ltd. Like This Page · November 17, 2017 · Hello all, As you are all well aware by now, our A320-X is available for Prepar3D V4, we’re working on the A320-X SP1 release for FSX and Prepar3D v3 and the rest of the A32X fleet is in the pipeline to be released in the coming months. We had promised that when that time came, we would take a closer look to the possibility of creating a new Concorde title, specifically designed for Prepar3D v4. Our existing Concorde-X title, developed in 2008 and released in 2010 was a huge success: It brought the thrill and excitement of Concorde to a desktop simulation and even today, almost 15 years after the last Concorde flight, the interest in Concorde remains very clear. Our Flight Sim Labs developer team feels there might still exist one more opportunity to see this aircraft take to the virtual skies in Prepar3D v4 - with the resources we have been acquiring since the days of the Altitude Concorde for FS9 back in 2002 up to today, we believe we are the single company uniquely fitted to undertake this quite significant task one last time, on the most recent flight simulation platform: Prepar3D v4. We feel that in order for the Concorde to be done justice with the exciting new features available today, we would need to see the following new and improved facilities included in this new version: New Virtual Cockpit New cockpit model built with the Prepar3D V4 SDK New high-resolution textures Complete 3D engineers station Both British Airways and Air France variants Full dynamic light integration with FSLSpotlights v2 Improved external texturing - using techniques developed for the A32X Series All new high-resolution sound set using our new sound infrastructure developed for the A32X Series including cockpit, cabin and external sound sets, complete with sonic boom New special effects - including our spectacular lighting effects in adverse weather conditions and fog True Dynamic Lighting - a system developed for the A32X Series that varies the intensity of the light depending on environmental conditions and time of day (or night). Cabin PA sound sets for both British Airways and Air France Concorde Weather Radar integrated with Active Sky Utilization of our Jet Engine Simulation program to simulate the Olympus 593's more accurately in every phase of flight – developed for the A32X Series The purpose of this post is to gauge how much interest there would be in a new Concorde title for Prepar3D v4, as we estimate the price of this new version to be around $100 USD. If you'd like to see a new Concorde in Prepar3D v4 – most likely the last Concorde project of its kind - please vote: Send an email to "wantconcorde@flightsimlabs.com" Subject: “I will buy the Concorde on P3D v4!” Add your full name and age, telling us that you will support this effort. We reiterate: This project cannot and will not happen without your help. This is possibly the last time a Concorde will ever be developed at this fidelity level and caliber for any simulator platform – if you wish to keep the dream alive, tell us! As always, thank you very much for your continued support of Flight Sim Labs! LINK TO SOURCE:
