Further to their confirmati0n that they are going to bring Singapore to a new standard with PBR (Physically Based Rendering), Imaginesim has shared some new previews of the effects in full force. Speaking to the developers earlier today, the team have discovered a new way PBR rain textures into the product for fantastic effects. As you can see from the various screenshots, when the rain falls in Singapore, you will know about it. The Prepar3D V4 update will come along soon and will include a few bug fixes and also ensure that the location of the airport is correctly geo-located. Once we know about a release date, we’ll let you know about it. For now, follow Imaginesim on Facebook. Or you can buy Singapore from Imaginesim via their web store for £25.99. If you still use FSX, you can grab that version for the same price here. It should be noted that the PBR update will only work for Prepar3D V4.4 and above. Aerobask has given a sneak peak on what their new rain effects will look like on their E1000. Via their YouTube channel, a 30 second clip was revealed. The video showed the rain effects being use on their E1000 with the G1000. The clip shows that the windscreen isn’t the only that that will be covered in water droplets, as even the cabin windows will be effected. It also seems like there will be some neat sound effects combined with the visual effects to create an immersive experience. Over on the x-plane.org website (or just the 'ORG' as many of you cool kids call it), the extremely talented developer of the Zibo 737NG Mod for XP11 has just posted a little test video where he's testing how his 3D rain effects play on the windshield of the aircraft. They are nothing short of stunning! I want this in P3D..NOW! Take a look: https://drive.google.com/open?id=16n6cyJrvu62ylcOeMkFazLakQV12bcWU It is a WIP so treat it as such and excuse any glaring errors with the physics or how the effect performs in general. Now, let's react! MilViz Preview T310R Rain Effects In X-Plane 11 Announced back in June at FSExpo, word of the MilViz T310 for X-Plane has been sparse, until now. Over on their Facebook page, MilViz has posted a preview featuring windshield rain effects in their upcoming aircraft for X-Plane 11. We suspect a release is on the horizon as MilViz have now further introduced us to the T310R by publishing its store page with a release of the paint kit, an extensive feature list (subject to change) and many new previews. The T310R features RealityXP GTN 650/750 compatibility, FMOD sounds, PBR materials, realistic flight dynamics, windshield rain/ice effects and more which you can view on the store page. https://fselite.net/news/milviz-preview-t310r-rain-effects-in-x-plane-11/
