Skyline Simulations Announce Dash 8 200 & 300 Skyline Simulations has today announced, via their Facebook page, that they’re currently working on a couple of the often forgotten models of the Dash 8 family for X-Plane. The developer, primarily known for their scenery products, used the announcement to show off some early renders of the Dash 8 200 and 300 models that are currently being worked on, while also outlining their intentions for the project. In the post, Skyline Sim stated that they intend to produce a “study level” simulation of the aircraft with “accurate flight dynamics and systems simulation”. This includes the UNS-1 Universal FMS System that the real-world aircraft is equipped with. This should hopefully come as welcome news to X-Plane users and fans of the Dash 8, who have been crying out for an overhaul of FlyJSim’s Q400 for quite some time. Additionally, the developers promise an accurate and true 3D model which they say “will be extremely faithful to the real aircraft and will be impeccably detailed at a standard the XPlane [sic] community has come to expect from developers”. While this may sound like it’s going to take up a large amount of the developers’ time, they do assure their fans that their current scenery projects are not being delayed as a result, and work continues on projects such as KORD and an upcoming CVG update. The only question that comes to mind with this announcement is if Skyline Sim are producing the Q200/Q300 models, or their earlier, non-ANVS brothers. Without doubt, the X-Plane community will be watching this project very closely, as will FSElite. We hope to see work continue on this project and will aim to bring you updates as they’re made available. For now, check out the renders below. Skyline Sim Chicago O’Hare, Cincinnati International, and Long Beach Preview Mega Post The last time we shared any previews of any of Skyline Sim’s upcoming projects was earlier this month, and January before that. In that time, I’ll admit we did miss large number of previews from Skyline of Cincinnati International, Chicago O’Hare, as well as Long Beach, and I do apologize for that. Earlier today, Skyline showed off more previews of their upcoming Cincinnati International scenery, and I thought it’d be a perfect time to compile all of the previews Skyline has shared over the past few months that went uncovered by us! Do note that this is a mix of screenshots as recent as today but dating back to February, and are all of course work-in-progress with some things having been reworked and/or changed since they were shared. Enjoy! SOURCE INFO https://www.facebook.com/skyline.simulations/ https://fselite.net/previews/skyline-sim-chicago-o-hare-cincinnati-international-long-beach-preview-mega-post/

Skyline Sim Chicago O’Hare for X-Plane Previews It’s been a busy couple of days for previews of upcoming Chicago O’Hare sceneries, with both Drzewiecki Design and FSDreamTeam having shown off previews yesterday. Now it’s Skyline Sim’s turn, and this time for X-Plane! For those wondering if it will be compatible with Drzeweicki Design’s upcoming Chicago City X scenery, we have some good news for you; it will be! In addition to this, the control tower will feature a spinning radar on top of it and various landmarks such as the AllState arena near the approaches will indeed be modelled for VFR approach aids. Sadly, that was all for now but it will be very nice to have a detailed rendition of O’Hare in X-Plane relatively soon! Following this, there was an outpouring of joy from eager X-Plane simmers everywhere – it was clear that this was something that the X-Plane community had been holding onto hope for quite some time now. Great news! Now Skyline and ORBX work together to convert ORBX sceneries for X-Plane 11! Skyline Simulations (formerly Icarus Simulations) have announced that they’re teaming up with Orbx to bring their famed sceneries to the X-Plane platform. In a very brief post on their Facebook page, Skyline Sim announced the collaboration with one simple line: Great news! Now Skyline and ORBX work together to convert ORBX sceneries for X-Plane 11! The announcement means that Orbx join an ever-growing list of traditionally P3D developers that have realised the potential for their products on the X-Plane platform. Most notably, HiFi Sim announced their intentions to bring Activesky to X-Plane during a presentation at FlightSimCon last year. News surrounding that has been scarce since the announcement, but you’ll surely agree that 2018 is shaping up to be a big year for the X-Plane community. FSElite has reached out to Skyline Sim and Orbx for further comment, and we’ll let you know if we hear anything more SOURCE INFO https://fselite.net/news/skyline-simulations-team-orbx-bring-orbx-products-x-plane/
