  2. UK2000 Scenery has released Belfast International (EGAA) Xtreme for X-Plane 11. The original release for FSX/P3D was a detailed rendition of the Irish airport. Since then, the team has worked on converting it for Laminar Research’s simulator. The original version featured detailed buildings, accurately placed taxiway markings, airport vehicles and a range of other elements to make it a realistic product. Thanks to the features of X-Plane 11, this version will also include physical based rendering, custom light fx and halos as well as ground routes for the AI. UK2000 Scenery has released Belfast Xtreme X-Plane Edition and can be purchased from the UK2000 Scenery store for £16.99. We’ll be sure to inform you once the product has been released. 3. UK2000 Scenery has provided the community with an overview of their current workload for the upcoming year and beyond. Taking to Facebook, the team announced that they have plans for further FS2004 airports (despite their previous statement), building new technology for next year and also a range of airports which will continue to be ported to X-Plane 11. The first piece of information is that Bournemouth Xtreme is almost finished. The final beta checks are going through right now – release is expected in Mid-February. This will be the last Xtreme airport from UK2000 Scenery, as they are looking to build the new toolset for new products from now on. With that in mind, the team did confirm that as the ‘Xtreme’ technology is capable of rendering for FS2004, the team decided to add both Bournemouth and Belfast V2 to their work flow to make it compatible with the older simulator. This means that their entire Xtreme Airport selection will be available for all sims in the future. No more updates (other than fixing bugs and adding SODE jetways) will be made for airports in the Xtreme package. In regards to the aforementioned new technology, it was confirmed that 2019 will see the team build the new tool set to enable a brand new range of updates to come out from 2020 and beyond. The first two airports to see this new technology will be Luton Airport and Bristol Airport. They also confirmed that new airports will also be made including the Isle of Man. As for X-Plane 11 users: the team shared their Trello board to give an overview of upcoming projects. From the list, 13 airports are currently in development for X-Plane 11 conversion (or will be in the future). This includes the likes of Jersey, Heathrow and Belfast. That’s all the information shared. Once new airports are released or if there are updates, we’ll be sure to let you know. 5. UK2000 Share Renders of Bournemouth Xtreme Following on from the announcement from UK2000 Scenery that they will soon stop developing the Xtreme series and focus on new technology, the team are still pressing ahead with their planned airports under that brand. One such airport is Bournemouth. Over on Facebook, to share their progress, the team posted two images showcasing the on-going work for the airport’s development. No other new information was shared at this time, but it’s nice to see things progressing. We’ll be sure to inform you of any new updates going forward. As of right now, it’s due out in 2019 for Prepar3D. Maybe an X-Plane conversion isn’t off the cards either with their recent stint of releases. 6. From Facebook: ***IMPORTANT UPDATE*** The Xtreme range will end in 2019-2020 During the past 10 years or so we have created most of the main UK airports. The Xtreme range has been popular and enjoyed by thousands of users. But it's now time to move on, and the Xtreme range will slowly come to an end. The Last new airport made using this system will be Bournemouth Xtreme which is due Jan-Feb 2019, there will also be a refresh for Luton and Bristol plus a few updates during 2019 for this product range. It will continue to be sold and supported for many many years to come, but no new updates after 2020. The Future ----------- Many users have ask the question "when are you going to increase resolution and use multi texture materials?" The move to higher demanding graphics is not without performance issues on the flightsim, but we believe we have reached the point that the old methods we use need to be replaced and modern PCs can cope. This is not a simple task, the current method heavily uses simple 'raster' copy and paste methods to create what we want, but this method does not scale to higher resolution. You need to take a 'substance' creation workflow, which is more time consuming with multiple steps. Very little of our old models or textures would work in this new workflow, so everything and we mean everything has to be made from scratch. This new system means taking longer to make a single airport than the older method, and the question is then, is it worth it?. It's not worth it unless you create an optimised workflow for everything, every task has to be looked at and if necessary create new tools and solutions to increase productivity. All of this takes time, and we suspect NO new airports will be made in 2019 as we will have spend most of it making tools. Business will carry on as normal, the odd minor update will still happen to the Xtreme range, but any big airport changes or new airport/remake will not be made until at least 2020. What will be this new airport range be called? We are going to give up on using words like 'Xtreme', 'mega' or 'ultimate' it's all getting very silly. So it will just have the airport name and the year like "UK2000 Inverness 2020" so you can clearly tell what year the airport was made and based upon. 14. Update [New Info]: UK2000 Scenery Announces Luton for X-Plane Update 11:05z on 31-Mar-2018: It has been confirmed that the release of Luton is planned for April 7th. UK2000 Scenery has been on a steady path recently of converting all their existing products to X-plane. It’s been great to see such devotion to the project and it has impressed the X-Plane community. Today, they announced that easyJet’s home, Luton Airport, will be one of the next airports to receive this treatment. The scenery will be based on the 2014 FSX/P3D release, so won’t be fully updated with the new terminal buildings and other structures being made in the area. 22. Today UK2000 has released EGKK London Gatwick Extreme for both X-Plane 10 and 11. This anticipated release was announced on their official Facebook page just moments ago. For those that don’t know, UK2000 has for years solely developed for the Microsoft ESP Platform but now has also started to target, and port their products to X-Plane too. This clearly is not an easy task, though the team has worked extremely hard to give the Flight Sim Community with what they have wanted. This rendition of EGKK includes custom taxiways, physical-based rendering on each Terminal window/reflective services and even interior Terminal modelling. The night lighting also looks great and should help with those night-time landings. Here are all the features the team has added so far as a summary: Custom Light fx’s and halo’s. Custom Taxiways so you can see the stand you are selecting in the UI. Ground routes for AI (coming soon and we will update this post when these are added™) Highly detailed Jetway textures Physical Based Rendering on terminal windows/reflective surfaces Interior Terminal modeling As with most of their products, you can buy this gorgeous scenery package for £16.99 on their website. When ordering just make sure to select the X-Plane version near the bottom of the order. LINK TO SOURCE: https://fselite.net/news/uk2000-egkk-gatwick-extreme-released-x-plane/

The product will be priced at around $24.21 (£16.99). So X-Plane users, get your wallets out for this! What’s There? Some features include Custom Light FX, Selectable Stands in UI, AI Taxi Routes, PBR for windows, etc. I will have to say though, looking at the screenshots, it looks fantastic! Sit back, relax, and enjoy some of the screenshots that UK2000 have provided! LINK TO SOURCE: https://www.airdailyx.net/article/uk2000-gatwick-beta-x-plane-release-imminent/
