Developer IndiaFoxtEcho has released an update for their F-35 Lightning package that includes PBR. In a post on their website, an extensive changelog describes the rebuilt internal and external models and the inclusion of PBR. In order to accomplish this update, the source models were completely rebuilt, resulting in, what the developer says, is a much better looking plane. Because the model files were compiled with P3D v4.4 tools, they cannot be used in earlier versions of P3D or in FSX. However, the developer has included non-PBR models for those who may prefer them. Moving forward, the project will only be updated for P3D v4.4. The update can be obtained here or from the site. CHANGE LOG Version 3.60 Rebuilt all external and internal models to support PBR textures All models recompiled using P3Dv4.4 tools Updated landing gear model Fixed minor UVW coordinates error on F-35C external model Fixed minor graphic glitches in F-35B and F-35C external models Major rewrite of MFD code with reduced memory footprint and (marginal) performance improvement New .air files to provide better, more linear throttle vs. thrust curve Fixed several glitches in the FCS code FCS Animation code rewritten Fixed bug that caused the first radar track not to show in some screens Note: This update by default is configured to use PBR models and work with P3Dv4.4. You can use this update also with P3Dv4.0 to P3Dv4.3 by deleting the model.cfg files in the model folder of each aircraft and rename the “model.cfg.BackupNonPBR” to “model.cfg”. Latest company killing support for 32bit. Also no development for non PBR versions of P3D. "Once we switch over to PBR, it's exceedingly costly and difficult to match what's in that over to FSX materials. And it's a lot more difficult to maintain two distinct model/material sets." Hi As I had posted procedure for upgrading the gtn and gns to work with p3d v4.4 , It seems there there has been problems with the gtn after upgrading so found a new version on the flight one forums to upgrade to to correct the error message "telling you need to run update tool to get correct version, even if you have already ran update tool and do have the latest version and also correct the issue of the plane not wanting to follow the magenta line in nav mode " Its version 2.07 and can download the installer here Download the latest wrapped version 2.07 from the main sales page. http://flight1.100megabyte.com/F1GTN-Complete.exe It is best if you uninstall what you have first, then install 2.07 I followed these instructions and it runs fine now I have installed and has corrected both problems stated above and found this info on the flight one support forum for the 750 complete at this address, can scroll down and find it at this address https://www.simforums.com/forums/flight1-gtn-for-p3d-v4-4_topic60843_page2.html so far have found no problems in the gns complete after upgrading it doing the procedure talked about in my original post so its upgraded and seems to be working fine, make sure to uninstall version 2.06 first before running the new v2.07 installer Hope is info helps you guys out, It fixed mine, SKYFIVE Everybody- Steve SOURCE INFO DEVELOPER POST LINK : https://www.simforums.com/forums/flight1-gtn-for-p3d-v4-4_topic60843_page2.html NEWS SITE ARTICLE LINK : https://www.simforums.com/forums/flight1-gtn-for-p3d-v4-4_topic60843_page2.html

The release of Prepar3D V4.4 has developers both excited and shared about the new PBR material technology found within the simulator. As discussed in our interview with Adam, many developers have had their hands on it for a while. One such developer is scenery creator FSDreamTeam. The guys previewed Chicago O’Hare a while back, which was poised to make use of P3DV4’s new technology. Today, the team released a short teaser trailer showcasing how PBR will be implemented at the airport. The 2 minute video takes us on a journey though the airport and highlighting the various materials applied to parts of the airport. Whether that be glass, concrete or stone, each material now has its specific value meaning lighting will be accurately reflected. No word on a release date at this point. Chicago O’Hare (KORD) will be available exclusively for Prepar3D V4. A few months ago, we shared details that Lockheed Martin’s next version of Prepar3D would include Physical Based Rendering (PBR). We are pleased to confirm from our exclusive interview* with Adam Breed that Prepar3D Version 4.4 will be released with PBR along with a range of new features and fixes. For those wondering, PBR is a technique which will allow the lighting engine within the simulator to react appropriately to the lighting. For example, metal surfaces will reflect light brighter with a shiny look and feel, whereas fabric-like materials won’t. It will also allow developers to create more visually striking textures and allow for faster production of photo-real production. What’s important to know is that from our interview with Adam, he made it clear that third-party developers (aircraft and scenery developers) have already been working on creating PBR textures for their products SOURCE INFO DEVELOPER POST LINK : NEWS SITE ARTICLE LINK : https://fselite.net/news/fselite-exclusive-p3d-v4-4-releasing-november-28th-pbr-confirmed/
FSElite has obtained verified documents that suggest that Lockheed Martin are preparing to release Prepar3D V4.4 in Q4 of 2018. Even more exciting is the fact that these leaked documents point to version 4.4 being the first step to enabling Physically Based Rendering (PBR) textures in the simulator. The leaked documentation includes an internal email conversation from an internal Lockheed Martin developer addressing to members of the Lockheed Martin team with details about the upcoming release. The internal email dated August 13th states that “Prepar3D V4.4’s beta is available now”. Whilst the information has not been publicly confirmed by Lockheed Martin at this time, we have received confirmation about the validity of this information from a source familiar with the future of P3D. We first discovered these details when someone posted somewhat privy details in a popular Facebook group. We then took the evidence presented in that group, asked reputable sources within the development community and asked for verification. Further details were then sent to FSElite – all of which were then verified to be accurate. As you can imagine, these people wish to remain anonymous. This is not the first time FSElite reported on upcoming new features for Prepar3D ahead of time. We were the first to inform that version 4 would indeed be 64-bit.
