  1. FlyJSim Updates 727 Series Professional V3 SOURCE INFO Despite releasing an excellent aircraft last month, developers FlyJSim has updated their 727 Series Professional 3 with a range of fixes and general improvements for the user. The primary focus area of this update are on mach hold and tape movements, the leading edge flaps not deploying when using the alternate flap and visuals on the aft cargo door. Further to general fixes, the team have added a brand new maintenance system for the tires. If you’re a pilot that likes to land firm, you may need to rethink your style as if you land too hard or heavy, prepare to pop a tire or collapse your gear (and have a meeting with tea no biscuits with your manager). There’s a nice range of improvements in the free update from the team, so waste time no more and download the update to the plane we enjoyed very much. You will need to grab the Skunkcrafts updater to download and apply update 3.1809.1125 to your 727 Series Professional V3. Here’s the full change log courtesy of their Facebook post. https://fselite.net/news/flyjsim-updates-727-series-professional-v3/
  2. After the two GTA cartoonish places Bamboo Island and Ko Poda Island in front of Krabis coastline, I took a few weeks vacation on the mainland to find out how to deal with a huge map without autogen. How to give the rocks the right look and how to make the rainforest look like rainforest. In the course of this I have built a wild illegal airstrip that is so terrible that you can only land with STOL Planes and helicopters. Around the runway I tried to capture the typical Thai chaos and . I am determined to provide an executable version of this free of charge this year. My focus in this project is on acting against the perfect clean sim world where there are only beautiful things - especially the dark side of the area to work out Here are current WIP impressions. 3. Skyline Simulations Announce Dash 8 200 & 300 Skyline Simulations has today announced, via their Facebook page, that they’re currently working on a couple of the often forgotten models of the Dash 8 family for X-Plane. The developer, primarily known for their scenery products, used the announcement to show off some early renders of the Dash 8 200 and 300 models that are currently being worked on, while also outlining their intentions for the project. In the post, Skyline Sim stated that they intend to produce a “study level” simulation of the aircraft with “accurate flight dynamics and systems simulation”. This includes the UNS-1 Universal FMS System that the real-world aircraft is equipped with. This should hopefully come as welcome news to X-Plane users and fans of the Dash 8, who have been crying out for an overhaul of FlyJSim’s Q400 for quite some time. Additionally, the developers promise an accurate and true 3D model which they say “will be extremely faithful to the real aircraft and will be impeccably detailed at a standard the XPlane [sic] community has come to expect from developers”. While this may sound like it’s going to take up a large amount of the developers’ time, they do assure their fans that their current scenery projects are not being delayed as a result, and work continues on projects such as KORD and an upcoming CVG update. The only question that comes to mind with this announcement is if Skyline Sim are producing the Q200/Q300 models, or their earlier, non-ANVS brothers. Without doubt, the X-Plane community will be watching this project very closely, as will FSElite. We hope to see work continue on this project and will aim to bring you updates as they’re made available. For now, check out the renders below. 7. It’s essentially a monthly ritual, where sim pilots hit that “Update” button in the Navigraph FMS Data Manager to keep their navigational data up to date for their next flight. In doing so, the data manager updates all of the (supported) installed aircraft and add-on applications that simmers hold in their arsenal. This month though, Navigraph has made a lot of X-Plane pilots rather excited with the addition of support for Active Sky XP in the data manager application. Active Sky XP (or “ASXP” as the developer has been abbreviating it) is the name of yet-to-be-released, X-Plane specific weather engine by HiFi Simulations, and back in June, they provided their biggest update on how the development was coming along, plus information on when X-Plane users might be able to see the engine working its magic in their sim. At that point in time they opened up beta testing applications, with an expected beta of Q3 2018 – at timeframe which we have just ticked over into at the start of this month, meaning that the development appears to be right on track given the addition of this nav data support. This being the case, they also gave an expected final release of Q1 2019. All going well during the beta phase, signs seem to point to this being an accurate estimate too. That said, FSElite is not aware of any beta invitations having been sent to interested parties at the time of writing, despite the enormous amounts of applications that were received by HiFi at the time of opening the expressions of interest. Long having been at or near the top of the “stuff I want from the P3D platform” list for most X-Plane users, it’s almost hard to believe that it’s finally within reach. 8. The Guimbal Cabri G2 is a light two-seater, french piston engine helicopter. VSKYLABS made a very detailed recreation of the aircraft, with extensive use of all XP11 technologies for rendering (PBR, reflexions etc) as it has been fully created for XP11. Flight model also takes advantages of a fully XP11 development (expect no VRS simulation -Vortex Ring State - though, XP11 doesn't provide that effect fully fonctionnal yet...). The model is fully Vr compatible without any addon, with AviTab compatibility. Some pics : And a video I found on YT (beware loud music) : You can pick this one for 29$ SOURCE INFO WEB SITE LINK : https://www.vskylabs.com/2018/06/the-vskylabs-guimbal-cabri-g2-project.html

  15. Recently we reported on the release of Digital Replica‘s debut aircraft for X-Plane, the Cessna 310L. The aircraft, which retails for $24.95, was well received by early adopters. The one thing that seemed to be a downfall for most though, was the absence of custom and/or FMOD sounds for the aircraft. Since then, the aircraft has seen an update to version 1.05, which bought with it a handful of fixes, additional customisation options, and a new KING64 DME. Less than a week later it was updated once again to v1.0.6. This update included a couple of fixes to textures and lighting, but the big addition was the custom FMOD sounds that early purchasers had been asking for. For both changelogs, see the end of this post. Digital Replica’s Cessna 310L is available from X-Aviation, with the price remaining $24.95. Changelog to v1.0.5 New KING64 DME Corrected function of the Davtron 902A DVOR (Display next to VOR/ILS) Windshield reflects can be turn off by clicking the windshield, and instruments reflects [sic] can be turn off by clicking any of the six pack instuments [sic] (artificial horizon, altimeter, etc.) Autopilot NAV 1/2 switch out of range when G430 is set in GPS mode. 21. So, want more xEnviro news? Update 3rd of September: Weekly Update: (WORK IN PROGRESS!) Today we have closed two most important items in our roadmap, both related to the cockpit camera and both responsible for numerous visual artifacts. Finally we are moving over to our new cloud system, volume rendering, final atmosphere tuning and testing. Yup, were on the home stretch. Its a long home stretch but the mountains of two steps forward and two steps back then falling, getting hurt and stand up marginally further than where we fell.... is over. The largest hurdle in our journey to the noise rendered volumetric clouds is behind us. Say goodbye to the horizon shift slider height limitations of 60k feet and a couple of other things, say hello to zoom, volumetric clouds and an atmosphere that calculates the sky color correctly 😃 Thank you Ben Supnik for the answers we needed. So... here are some more shots from the latest progress. I'm excited! Back to work! For pictures look up (latest posts): https://forum.thresholdx.net/topic/241-110-development-screenshots/ And the latest video: Bonus thingy: SOURCE INFO DEVELOPER POST LINK : NEWS SITE ARTICLE LINK :
